These are matters of romance, Shinji. It's better that you aren't conservative in your descriptions.

Particularly when they involve two of my dearest friends.

We were. She came over and got me out of the apartment a lot. We'd use her power to go places and just talk. It was...nice.

Well, her abilities were especially conducive to such action.

Tell me, what was it about her that you considered her most favorable quality?

Her optimism. She was so happy and energetic and thought the best of her friends. She even almost had me convinced that things would end up alright.

She certainly had that tendency, yes. She saw the best in a thing you weren't as confident in yourself, enough that you wanted her to be right about it, about everything. That perhaps there was some shining light a the end waiting for us, after all.

Knowing that she was mistaken has been one of the most disheartening things about her absence.

I don't know what I'll do if she comes back. Probably just keep not telling her how I feel.
