what's that on the screen?! it's a bird! it's a plane!

It's a plot-related not-meme, because this is a helluva way to organize shit and I like it.

So here's a very special plot!notmeme of

SKRULLING IN THE DEEP

Basically just talk about your character's theories on Skrulls (who probably is one & why, what the Skrulls may be aiming for, how Vulcanus ties into all this mess) and how they're dealing with all this trauma. Think of it as an opportunity to organize your character's thoughts for the phases to come!

who am I logged into OH OKAY

Alastair: knows nothing, sees nothing. He's vaguely aware that some shit is going down but he's keeping his head down and his nose clean. As long as it's not directly affecting him and Kiryu, he's not getting involved. Holing up in Hell Towers is much easier when you're the ONLY GUYS THERE. The only thing that would get his attention is if something horrific happened to Kiryu or Mokuba Kaiba. If he didn't have his job and responsibilities he'd be in Peru or Tahiti or Croatia by now.

Sanji: doesn't really care one way or the other about "aliens," nor really about "shapeshifters" because he's dealt with people who can take the faces of others before (Bon Kurei!). He believes or at least pays lip service to the philosophy that a person is their heart, not their appearance. He only cares that women - friends, yes, but also a few he doesn't know or know well - are getting hurt because of this and he won't stand for it. He has no intention of pointing fingers and naming names, he doesn't care if the things are masquerading as other people. What matters to him is whether any of them attack him, and whether anyone, skrull or not, attacks a woman and/or a friend. Woe to anyone who damages one of his ladyfriends, he really will kill to defend them.

Callie was right about one thing: if a skrull is masquerading as a female friend of his, they could get way too close to him and kill or hurt him. But Sanji is wary enough to not let this happen. He still trusts women implicitly (maybe TOO much) but he's got a pirate's wariness and will be quick to defend himself if he gets attacked. Defend, but not strike back. Yep, that's why his belief is mere lip service - if it's wearing a female face and body, he won't harm it, even if it wants to kill him. So he said to Kalifa, so he means.

Geddoe has his suspicions but he's keeping them close. He is intensely involved in this mess. His post to the network Sunday pretty much tells all - that's what he's thinking. He's concerned that Candy actually told the truth that Vulcanus is out to destroy all Imports, and this is how they're doing it. Or they're going to get them to destroy themselves, either way. But he really isn't certain there's a full-on Skrull invasion, nor that they're going exactly by the same book they went by for Tony's/et al's world. Geddoe is just shrewd enough to consider the ambiguities, the maybes, and believes that the truth lies down the middle of the two extremes. He's running out of people to trust, or to explain himself to. He's aware most of the serious hero-types and authority figures don't take him seriously, so his message to the network is his last word in public before he hunkers down and goes into "I protect me and what's mine" mode. Jack Bauer is the only one who listens to him anyway.

What's funny is, he believes it possible that anyone, even his closest comrades (Jack, Zatanna, and Zelgadis, right now), could very well be Skrulls so he isn't letting down his guard. But he isn't actively accusing them, nor will he unless someone actually makes a move on him. He suspects Ghost, because he doesn't know that rampant paranoia is how Ghost behaves every day, and he's starting to wonder about Ruka - though he would never say so openly. Something she said to Zoidberg struck him as odd. But Geddoe's main suspicions go to anyone who actively worked to promote paranoia and divisiveness. His thoughts right now are focused on two things: one, that the people who need to be investigated are those who have been alone for long enough windows that they could have been kidnapped and replaced (which includes him but he already knows he's not one), and two, that they don't actually know what the goal of the Skrulls is or would be in this world. "Invasion" doesn't make sense. He isn't interested in killing them all, he just wants to know what they're doing, IF they're doing anything. And in the back of his mind he certainly does believe this goes back to Vulcanus somehow, they aren't innocent scapegoats used by SkrullCandy to terrify the Imports.

Of course, if he knew anything about technology he'd be asking someone to look into the new comm thing, but he doesn't so he isn't.

lol Alastair and Kiryu are too busy dealing with all the shit that's been handed to them in the last few weeks to care about this. WHAT IS RESPONSIBILITY how do we get rid of it...

Exaaaactly. These boys have enough to worry about without being afraid one or the other is going to turn. Even though Alastair's soul-taking power could be useful. He's going to concentrate on staying off anyone's radar and protecting Kiryu.
