So actually I'd already decided to play Nepeta before I ever got into Homestuck. Back in the day when Homestuck accounts were just starting to trickle onto memes and Dear Mun I scanned the wiki pages of all the characters and vowed that if I was ever stupid enough to get into this clusterfuck I was totally going to play Nepeta because oh god she's so cute.

And then I got into this clusterfuck of a canon and pretty much went OK FUCK EVERYONE IS TOO DIFFICULT FOR ME TO PLAY BUT I PROMISED I WOULD TRY NEPETA AND GOD DAMN IT I KEEP PROMISES. Unfortunately in the process of 'trying' her I ended up being pressganged into a game and everything was downhill from there.

Honestly though, I really love Nepeta as a character because she's this wonderful mishmash of dissonant traits that might be unsettling if it weren't for the fact that she's so sincere about everything she does. She's loyal but not afraid to call friends out on being dipshits and truly wants everyone to be happy to the point of placing it above her own happiness. She's too open with her feelings and too trusting in people's better nature but still sees and reacts to the emotional undercurrents around her. Also everything related to her crush on Karkat just kills me a little inside. Every Serenade remix just twists the knife a little deeper.

My favorite moments in canon for Nepeta is the Seek the highb100d flash, her really mature discussion with Equius, and her whaling on some poor game monsters.

As to favorite in-game moments, I haven't been in C&C long enough to get some super favorites so I'll link favorites from my last game if that is ok?

In which Nepeta argues with Karkat about Spartans and then proceeds to host the TEA PARTY OF THRONES.

There was also the time she had to fight a brainwashed mutated Davesprite and Equius during SHODANce Party.

And of course there was the time she started a Stair-Kicking Brigade with Bro.

You know. Usual stuff.
