O-mamori (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omamori) (Japanese: お守り, o-mamori) are Japanese amulets dedicated to particular Shinto deities as well as Buddhist figures. The word mamori (守り) means protection, with omamori meaning honorable protector.
