Well -- I'm not a complete stranger to them, I do know a few things about the general premise. And the characters.

Change like this saves people's lives.

[he's on to you, nelson you're--]

[ Nelson debates how to answer for a moment, biting his lip. ]

Uh-- in a way. I actually... know the writer.

Keeping quiet would be better for everyone. Not just the selfish idiots like you.

Yeah it does. Things like this help the kids who are steps away from suicide because society tells them that there's something totally wrong with them for being who they are.

[ He clears his throat, debating his answer again before he sheepishly says: ]

[ she stares at him hard, silent for a long moment before finally, she gives in, responding curtly: ]

I have. I thought it prudent to be educated on the man who claims ownership of this facility.

[ she lets out a sigh and follows reluctantly behind, scoping out the racks. tacky, ugly, she hates that, did anyone ever think wearing this was a good idea, ill-advised, gross, oh wait just a minute there. she stops to examine a sundress with a cheerful floral pattern, lips screwed up tight.

she knows she's on a budget, but she doesn't know if she wants to resort to buying something that's only two dollars. even if it's a little lovely. ]

[ Norman narrows his eyes further before he drops the tape on the floor, putting his foot over it. ]

I had a feeling. All the more reason to get rid of it.

[ she moves unnaturally fast, enabled by their close proximity when she immediately grabs him by the arm, her grip like steel despite her soft body. there's something vaguely threatening about her voice, even though she doesn't raise it. ]

That is unnecessary. And futile.

[ His jaw clenches and he looks at her hatefully, pressing down on the tape with a bit more pressure from his foot. He's yet to crush it, though. ]

You say you have the data stored in your head. Something like that, wasn't it? So what the hell should this little thing matter to you?

[ her lips tighten again before she responds, a bit unwillingly: ]

A flawless memory of that data is only accessible to me in my robotic form. My memory in this body is imperfect. Therefore, the original is still valuable.

[ He juts out his chin defiantly. ]

[ her grip on him tightens to bruising. ]

[ there's a challenge in her face, her stare daring him to go ahead, destroy that tape. ]

[ It creaks a little under his foot as he applies more pressure to it, looking at her stubbornly. ]

You can break my arm if you want to. [ Since healing factor. ] Barely even a sacrifice, in this situation.

[ it's tempting. under her controlled exterior, danger is aggressively violent-- particularly, it seems, when her control is threatened. ]

Why do you insist on baiting me? On aggravating me? [ there's a demand in her voice, despite the fact that she still has yet to raise it. ] I have nothing but faithfully improve your facility. It is my rules that maintain order here, despite your refusal to abide by them.
