[He knew the dark corners of his mind quite well. Those twisting crevasses that seduced haunting memories, those shadowed whispers of synapse. He knew that Norman Osborn waltzed in those corners, dominated that darker shade. He knew this to be true.

Whenever he passed a reference to Norman, an allusion or otherwise, his heart gripped. His pulse quickened. His mouth went desert dry.

Norman made his mind an inferno.

But when he followed, down the creeping avenues of a darkening city, he burning mind never touched his cool expression.]

[ With a sharp slap of his heels Norman stopped, standing with his back to Eddie for a long moment and letting the distance between them settle. Darkness licked the sky, drawing his gaze for a moment before he let himself turn. All the way, not just his head. Eddie suddenly merited his full attention, cautious eyes and a reserved smirk. Norman folded his hands into his coat pockets as he stepped forward.

Shadows cast across his face, illuminating his eyes and his teeth. Ominous in its strange way, even if it was a simple trick of light. ]
