[ HJ was Not Happy with all this nonsense going on. It had been written on his face, well, his eyes, and he crossed his arms when he surveyed this... nightmare of ostentatious apparel and attitudes. It was subversive at the least, and alarming at the worse.

HJ had never been the best at keeping himself from letting little tells show. Subtle cues that had been one of the wedges in he and Nelson's relationship, the reason Larry had known that something had to be done. Still, he narrowed his eyes at the boy.

And he really was, just a boy, in HJ's eyes. ]

No. There isn't much good about this.

These people are happy, and they've got reason to celebrate! What's wrong with that?

If they kept it to themselves, they'd be lying about who they really were, and it would hurt them, that's what this is all about. Proving they don't have to anymore.

And there's something wrong with that? It's subversive. It shouldn't be accepted or applauded. If it were, it would have been acceptable long ago.

Basic civil rights have been denied to many groups over the years, that doesn't make it right.

Doesn't it? They couldn't make it, so they were denied the privileges that were given to their superiors.
