[ His jaw clenches and he looks at her hatefully, pressing down on the tape with a bit more pressure from his foot. He's yet to crush it, though. ]

You say you have the data stored in your head. Something like that, wasn't it? So what the hell should this little thing matter to you?

[ her lips tighten again before she responds, a bit unwillingly: ]

A flawless memory of that data is only accessible to me in my robotic form. My memory in this body is imperfect. Therefore, the original is still valuable.

Not to me.

[ He juts out his chin defiantly. ]

And my opinion is the one that counts, Danger.

[ her grip on him tightens to bruising. ]

So you keep reminding me.

[ there's a challenge in her face, her stare daring him to go ahead, destroy that tape. ]

[ It creaks a little under his foot as he applies more pressure to it, looking at her stubbornly. ]

You can break my arm if you want to. [ Since healing factor. ] Barely even a sacrifice, in this situation.

[ it's tempting. under her controlled exterior, danger is aggressively violent-- particularly, it seems, when her control is threatened. ]

Why do you insist on baiting me? On aggravating me? [ there's a demand in her voice, despite the fact that she still has yet to raise it. ] I have nothing but faithfully improve your facility. It is my rules that maintain order here, despite your refusal to abide by them.

Because I abide by my rules, not yours, and it's time that you realized that. High. Time. That you understand that.

[ The tape cracks a bit underfoot. ]

You owe me your respect. And I don't owe you my secrets.

[ her control simultaneously cracks. the way she moves is at once angry and calculated, focused aggression as she takes him up on his offer, responding to his demand for her respect by snapping his arm at the elbow. ]

[ Norman doesn't yell, but he exhales a heavy grunt as if someone just knocked the wind out of him; sweat beads on his forehead as pain, then numbness, overcomes his arm. He digs his heel into the tape, cracking it further. He hisses: ]

Dammit.

[ she doesn't let go, putting pressure on the joint, pressing harder when he digs his heel into the tape and she hears it crack a little more. ]

Stop.

Nnh-- no. Not after all this.

[ He hisses, sweat dripping down his face, and he finally lifts his foot to stomp it down heavily. ]

If you're breaking my arm I'm going to damn well have something to show for it.

[ the noise danger makes is almost uncharacteristic of her-- angry, low, almost like a snarl with the way she briefly bares her teeth. she always frightened madison when she was like this before, organic and raw and not contained in unfeeling metal. like this, she can't hide her anger.

the way she twists his arm is cruel-- cruel and retaliatory, until she finally releases him, backing away. the tape is lost to her now. hurting him more won't fix that, she knows. ]
