So I write for my school paper. This month I got to review Watchmen because I'm that cool. They also make me draw ridiculous cartoons for every other article and it's obnoxious.

BUUUUUUUUT point of this post: I spent like 3 hours on my Watchmen picture and they're not going to print it in color. I thought, "oh, wait, C&C appreciates Watchmen more than my editors."

Guys, I just realized something.

You guys all know about shounen. Right? Crazy hair, long ass battles, swords of questionable length. Well, some shounen series deal with characters and with different subject matters. From American football or games such as GO or CCGs. Really, no limit.

Except there are... some overlapping character archetypes that seem to be required.

Main character: High school student, must be bullied entire life. Best friends with Kickass Brunette Girl since grade school. Gets mixed up with Questionable Morals Lad.

Questionable Morals Lad: Has questionable morals. Street savvy. Mocking. ALSO MUST GAMBLE REALLY WELL, NO EXCEPTIONS.

Kickass Brunette Girl: MOTHER TO THEM ALL. Can kick ass, still has her girlish moments. DOESN'T SEEM INTERESTED IN MAIN CHARACTER.

Comedic Relief Monkey: Hair color varies. Silly, joking, overall a really cool guy. He might be trying to get rich fast.

That Cool Dude: Awesome, just awesome. Can also kickass, and works really well with the Comedic Relief Monkey.
