HELLO GDS

SO. Up and coming is Gotterdammerung, which coincidentailly takes place not only in my home town, near my place of work. Which, if you didn't know, is here. Indeed, part of my job is to tell people that no, I don't know how to get to the Holocaust museum, or where the bars are, and I'm very sorry but it's not my fault that the ATM isn't working right now.

BASICALLY, this post is a standing offer to answer questions about the National Mall! Like, My character has X power, what would be a delightfully senic place to have a throwdown? What's the weather like? What is the public transit like (answer: it sucks sometimes, but the stations look like refugees from a dystopian science fiction flick, so those are kind of awesome for battles.0

Granted, Wikipedia's articles on this sort of thing are extremely good, but I can answer more personal, from the ground questions.

Obviously, my specialty is the Smithsonian Institution, though I also used to work for the United States Navy Memorial so I know a little about that as well. And I'm in Penn Quarter / near Chinatown a lot?
