There are always those moments when your characters make questionable decisions and moments when they really should rethink their lives.

SO in City or in canon, what are those moments that someone should really just take your character(s) aside and go

LOOK AT YOUR LIFE, LOOK AT YOUR CHOICES

this is a totally legit and serious question

DARE MEME WILL HAPPEN TOMORROW EVENING
somewhere around 8-9 p.m. EST, barring anything which might require me to not be around at the time
who knows i could be drafted into saving the world or something and it wouldn't be the first time

In any case, since it's been like 600 million years since we last rocked this thing, I advise the unfamiliar to click the eat glass tag and have a little gander at past pain and glory. But this is how it works:

I make an initial sign-up post to start, and everyone throws in one character until the cap is reached (usually anywhere from 18-25 people, depending on who's awake/around).

IMPORTANTE: The numbers I give in that post are only for auditing and are to be ignored immediately on your end. I used to be shit-for-brains with counting people signing up back in the day so I use the numbers now

THEN I make a second post for the dares. Everyone can dive into that post, logged in, ic/ooc, anon, whatever, and make many a fantastic dare.

The dares need to be addressed to numbers, like

1 and 3 need to high five so hard it knocks 6 out of his/her hammock
4 breaks Lust's Segway over his/her knee
18 is now a duck and has to end his/her sentences in this meme with a quack

You choose numbers from the total cap of people signed up, be it 1-18, 1-20, etc.

We do a couple pages of that until it looks like there's enough and then I reveal the list of characters with numbers assigned to them. You then sift through the dares and have your characters do the ones corresponding to the number they've been given.

Everybody cries. A grand time is had by all. Someone gets hurt with a Segway, typically, but it's still a grand time.

Enter this meme with the full understanding your character is potentially subject to heinous and humiliating tasks, like being someone's stripper pole or wearing a fursuit while singing Lady Gaga songs at a kid's birthday party or ripping out their own teeth. Those not brave enough for these mighty feats are still very welcome to provide dare suggestions when the post goes up.
