You already know how much I like you. I think you're hot, and the speedster thing is all kids of awesome. I like how pleased you are whenever I stroke your ego, and when I can get you to smile, like a real smile and not a smirky one, it makes my heart skip a beat. You make me into a total girly sap, and I'm surprisingly okay with that. You're not perfect- you can be really obnoxious sometimes, or a jerk, or flippant, but underneath that you're not a bad guy. And I want my first time to be with you.

And yes, I know that was super cheesy.

He likes Edgeworth! He thinks he's a smart guy, and since he's involved in law, he thinks he has an ally in that regard, which is something he really needs in the city! He's glad that Edgeworth is willing to help him, especially with looking at the legality of him running, which is something he needs to know, and he's more of a math guy, so Edgeworth is perfect for the job!
