Cavil gets under Saitou's skin, no matter if he'll never say it aloud. And there's that big control fight going on constantly over which one has the upper hand. But he's going to do his damnedest not to show any sort of sign that Cavil's words can bother him - thus the cocky attitude almost 24/7.

He thinks she's really nice! Mary's the one who pretty much helped him get into the Xavier Institute, so he appreciates that a ton. I'm guessing they sort of haven't talked to each other besides the occasional 'hi how are you' whenever they cross paths in the hallways, but he wouldn't mind getting to know her better. At all.
