Too much free time whoah
So, C&C! I finally had inspiration to write some poetry again today! And guess what? It's all about you.
I. On Running and it's Merits
Sometimes he wants to run away
Leave the City, leave them all
These fucking imPorted
Pyros, psychics, all such related bullshit
The crazy, the sane and the other category alike
He’s just damn tired of them
But really, where would he go?
No one wants a meta anywhere but the City
No one wants the superpowers mucking things up
Sending everything down the fucking drain
Washing it out again
So he’s still here, in a rented bedroom, holding his comm.
Instead of running, he posts
II. It Had to be Said
Everyone wants to punch the Riddler
Apparently, it’s true
Everyone wants to punch the Riddler
Well… don’t you?
III. The Ballad of Aldo Raine
There’s nothing like a Nazi
To make your day go sour
But Aldo Raine just seems to be
Never fucking dour
He’s always ready to kick Nazi ass
And take some goddamn names
And though his accent may sound crass
He doesn’t play any fucking games
Aldo, Aldo Raine!
The man we all admire!
Aldo, Aldo Raine!
Killing Nazi Vampires!
He saw the jail burnin’
Knew what he had to do
Invig’rated his yearnin’
To get him some Nazi scalps, woo!
He saw the fat ol’ Major bastard
Feasting on his German food
Said “Hey you fatass Nazi turd
I’m in a scalpin’ mood”
Aldo, Aldo Raine!
The man we all admire!
Aldo, Aldo Raine!
Killing Nazi Vampires!
So he killed that Nazi fucker dead
Scalped him plain to see
But he lost that fatty chunk of head
Then the Porter brought him back for free
Then Aldo he laid low right then
When the fat man came back
Said “I’m goin’ now, but y’know what men?
Next time I’ll take his fat ballsack”
Aldo, Aldo Raine!
The man we all admire!
Aldo, Aldo Raine!
Killing Nazi Vampires!
Aldo, Aldo Raine!
THE MAAAAAAANNN WEEEE AAAAAALLL AAAADDDMMMIIIIIRRE!
IV. The Poet's Tribute to a Pairing of Great Renown
Lust and Knives
A love so magnificent
Lust and Knives
Edward Cullen can’t beat that shit
It’s
THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST
V. The Future Grim, or Cling
“It’s been a long time”
“Ten years.”
Not so long
Ten years since they struck
Ten years since separation
Since they lost each other
Lost themselves, lost everything
The world turned against them
Turned against their kind
Opposing forces merciless
Victims hardly helpless
But they still lost the fight
Years have passed, but they remember still
Life as it was before
Before the end, the attack
They were the best of friends
After the fight they were separated
But now they’re together again
And glad for it
The man in Washington is watching
They pay no heed
They’ve come together again
Though still separated
By ten years of shock and fear
And uncertainty, running running running
But those years are not so bad now
They have each other again
They take comfort in that
And as they hold each other in the night
They look at how they got here
Ten years ago they would never
Have thought the future would be like this
But now all they can do
Is cling
Cling to one another, cling to the past…
And to the hope for a better future
VI. A Predicament
No one from home is here
She’s all alone
Scared at first, now no longer
Now rejoicing
New friends
Almost a family
More than she had before
And then, there’s her
She’s seen the other girl
Outside the network a few times
She feels so strange around her
Her stomach drops
Her tongue flops
She’d gladly spend forever with her
What does she feel for her
The other girl she talks to so often
Well she doesn’t know
But her answer
Is just a comm post away
AUTHOR'S NOTES! So there you go, C&C! Six poems all about you. Unless stated, any given poem here is prooobably not about a specific character. Comments? Concerns? "Lyndon your poetry sucks gtfo"s?
In conclusion, a haiku
I have pineapples
You do not have pineapples
I’m cooler than you
