MAGIC*CON
I know that it's taken a while, but RL has been busy for us. However, now that most of the OOC details have been hashed out between those involved, here's a rough run-down of what will be happening at MAGIC*CON. Please feel free to make suggestions or ask questions. Any additions or edits will be included in the final draft. Official plot post will, of course, be posted on the OOC comm. c:


INFO ABOUT MAGIC*CON.

• In CnCverse, it is officially slated as "the world's largest and best fantasy and science fiction convention."
• Obviously, there will be cosplayers. Take advantage of this for plotting at your own discretion! (LOOKING AT YOU, ZEVRAN!!)
• It will be a three day weekend. Tentatively, sometime after the mod plot and probably over Labor Day weekend (September 2-4!), if it doesn't conflict with other plans.
• There will be separate threads for each day and set scenes. Anyone is welcome to create a new thread or a new post in the log comm.
• It takes place in Dunwich, Massachusetts. Transportation out of state will be provided via teleportation by Zatanna.
• Only magic users will get a proper invitation from Zatanna (aside from Bond and Arthur, whatever they're her bros). She found out about it because she was asked to perform there. :3
• The convention is 18+, but anyone that can get there on their own (or via another friend) is welcome to come. Just remember that anyone that looks under 18 will probably be kicked out before the day's end. This also goes for non-magic users, if you can justify that they'd know about the gathering somehow.
• Zatanna has paid for rental of the top floor of the hotel the convention is located at, so anyone invited can crash there. Because she's a cheater, she's used her magic to expand it and make the rooms larger and better. The room she's staying in, by day, will act as a very large meeting room/lounge for magic users to meet and... discuss stuff. Only magic users can enter. Suck it, normal folk. :|
• Anyone that visibly causes a ruckus will be forcibly removed. So keep the creepy on the down-low or do it when you're ready to ditch.

STUFF GOIN' DOWN AT MAGIC*CON.

• Friday and Saturday will be entirely chill. Mostly just talking and eating and dicking around. Nothing all that special (but please feel free to make things special for your own characters outside of the main plot line! :3).
• On Saturday, Zatanna will have used her magic on a dying plant she saw to perk it up a bit. On Sunday, the same plant is still dying and Rose uses her magic on it. The combination of the magic, instead of just helping the plant out, does not turn out to be a good thing and instead of giving it a boost, it turns it into a giant, leafy monster.
• The real magic users assemble and fight it, but the con-goers all think that it's an elaborate cosplay as part of some movie promotion and plenty of them just stay where they are and film it.
• Zatanna and James defeat it with the help of Rose, but immediately are teleported to their rooms because of the creepy nerds attacking them for autographs.
• Around Thanksgiving, a low-budget movie compiled of the fight videos and some new footage starring Gerard Butler as Rose, Rob Lowe as Zee, and Kirsten Stewart as James Bond is released in theaters. It's called ABRACADAMAGE! and it's the number one movie at the box office for five weeks before sliding into second place for a week and the third spot for about a month and a half. More information about this hideous monstrosity will be made available in the coming months (we have all of it planned out for your enjoyment, promise).
• The theme song for the movie is by Meatloaf. It's called The Aura of Love and it is a twelve minute rock ballad.
• The trailer for the movie features Rose as what may appear to be A REBEL COP THAT DOES THINGS HIS WAY and Zee as MAGICIAN SIDE-KICK HE MET ALONG THE WAY and possibly also a cop or something idek. There appears to be extreme bromancing going on between them and a scene very similar to this featuring Zee. And lots of shirtless Gerard Butler.
