Awright, fess up

We all have those accounts floating around that we'll never, ever use. We all have the inexplicable urge to app characters we can never, ever play, be it because of rules, time, or potential humiliation. It's against the rules, there's no background available, it's too dumb. Whatever! Post it here! I'm curious!

REVEAL YOURSELVES AND BE FRIENDS OF JOHN FREEMAN!!

ETA: So we's outta tags again.

Oh wow, they were were prolific with that, weren't they? :D

I didn't have an SNES either but in college I found a nice cash of old games and an emulator for em. :D I think I may still have, actually... want me to see if I do and then post the game for ya?

[identity profile] divtastic.livejournal.com 2010-06-11 05:55 pm (UTC)(link)
They have several games! And also films. :D

If you could, that'd be great! Although if you can't, no worries. I haven't finished a single one of the ones I have so far, even years later. XD

http://kokorononaka.net/Temp/Snes9x.zip should be the emulator
http://kokorononaka.net/Temp/obelix.zip Should be the game. Shouldn't need to unzip the game once you have the emulator working.

I think I've finished a grand total of like... mmm.. 10 games in my lifetime:D So I totally understand :D

[identity profile] divtastic.livejournal.com 2010-06-11 06:14 pm (UTC)(link)
You? Are awesome. Got it working now, and I expect I'll be playing that later tonight.

Yeah, I've only finished Pokemon games and a couple of YGOs, which goes to show what my level is. XD
shiromadoushi: (Yo!)

[personal profile] shiromadoushi 2010-06-11 06:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Huzzah :D

The fact that you've finished a YGO game is better than me :D I've only beaten Sacred Cards. [and actually just started my very first Pokemon game like.. last month :D]

I mostly finish RPGs :) Legend of Mana, SekenDensetsu 3, 2 of the other Mana games (forgetting which ones. Possibly 2 and the first GBA one that was a remake of the first I think), Okage, 7th Guest (well that's not quite an RPG but...), TWEWY.. uh... ... I know there's more than just those! :D

[identity profile] divtastic.livejournal.com 2010-06-11 06:27 pm (UTC)(link)
I haven't even played Sacred Cards! I've beaten Nightmare Troubadour and Capsule Monsters. I also have Duelists of the Roses, but I didn't get very far in that.

I've also finished Pokemon Red, Pokemon Yellow, Pokemon Silver, Pokemon Diamond aaaaand I'm playing Soul Silver at the moment. Also, I just remembered that I beat the Finding Nemo PS2 game. And I think I've almost beaten Kingdom Hearts. I just suck at finishing anything because I always get sidetracked and forget about them.

I think Sacred Cards is the shortest of em :D I don't think I had the cap mon game, I had that one boardgame odd thing that had a bad play mechanic since NPC turns were just as long as PC turns so it was soooo much waiting T_T I just get really bored of the ones that are just duel duel duel duel with no plot in sight. And I get mad at when the characters have the wrong decks.

Diamond is the one I'm on now.

And yeah, I do the same thing. I mostly play GBA came on holiday when we're on the train, but I;ve had to drive it lately, so I don't actually play.

[identity profile] divtastic.livejournal.com 2010-06-11 06:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, duel duel duel games do get kind of dull. I mean, I think they all are? Or at least the ones that I played. But at least with Cap Mon the graphics were kind of fun to watch. And Troubadour was a pretty short game and since it was DS you could stop paying attention and do something else whilst you waited for your turn. Personally, I just didn't pay much attention to the decks.

I liked Diamond! It has my least favourite starters, but the jump in graphics was awesome, and it was a fun game to work through. Plus it had some nice Pokemon, even if I wasn't keen on the starters.

I still can't drive, so I'm kind of lucky. Although I haven't been able to play games whilst travelling so far this year. My rats ate through my DS charger and I only just got a new one, and my GBC powerpacks have both broken. Which was a pain because that meant I had to spend a 2 hour train ride/10 hour flight with no Pokemon, which is how I normally deal with journeys.

All the duel games I got were GBA/DS ones. [Wasn't really Duelist of the Roses the only PS one? I forget)

I actually did pretty well with Turtwig for my starter. But I'm a damned hippy so really.. :D And since it was my first game, phht, what do I know for good Pokemon? :)

Oh man, that sounds miserable! I hope you could at least nap or had a friend to bother for it! [Or are one of those magical types who can read while in motion :D]

[identity profile] divtastic.livejournal.com 2010-06-11 07:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, the ones I've had. I think I've only really played 3 of them, so yeah. I don't have much clue. (I've no idea. I just remember it making a horrible mess of history.)

Ha, I meant more visually. I'm such a shallow Pokemon player. I picked Chimchar when I played, so I don't know how good Turtwig actually is. His type sounds like it'd be good in battle, though.

I had a friend on the plane! Plus the plane had films. And TV. They even had Bowie. It wasn't my favourite album and the screen was crap for watching stuff, but it was pretty cool. I'd just like to have had my games. (And, yes, I am one of those magical types-- I just wanted to save my reading because I thought I'd have to pay for wireless.)

Most YGO make a terrible mess of everything :D

Hehe. Turtiwg was actually pretty bad ass. He was my powerhouse for a while and he has a multi attack. And I picked on ascetics too cause, well, treehugger :D

And huzzah for having a friend with! Best way to kill time! (this is why I almost always have someone in the car with me whenever I have to drive more than 5 minutes.)

[identity profile] divtastic.livejournal.com 2010-06-11 08:15 pm (UTC)(link)
True! I can just usually get away with not noticing it. XD

I'm a treehugger. :D Just... Not a very good one when it comes to Pokemon. My favourites are usually fire. I blame the awesome that is Charizard. >.>

Oh, definitely. I thought I was going to have to go on my own, but luckily, regardless of what my parents tell me, I'm not the only person in the world willing to cross continents for the sake of fandom get togethers. \o/ Not that I actually mind being on my own, but for such a long journey it's definitely nice to have someone there.
shiromadoushi: (Side smile happy happy)

[personal profile] shiromadoushi 2010-06-11 08:28 pm (UTC)(link)
*treehugging high five!*

Hehe. I somehow don't think I have a single fire pokemon yet and I think I'm half way through the game [I have...3? 4? badges. And I filled up one and a half boxes in the computer so far, so... *clueless*]

Oh wow, nice dedication there. :D And yeah, you're totally not the only one. I'm just a horrible laze-about and don't travel well so the farthest I've ever been for fanstuff is a 2 hour drive to an anime convention.

[identity profile] divtastic.livejournal.com 2010-06-11 08:40 pm (UTC)(link)
*high five* :D

That's also part of the reason I like to start with them! Grass types are a lot easier to come across, so generally I'll either go with fire or water. Quite how my prepubescent mind ever came up with something that logical, I'll never know, but there you go.

I'd rather just stay home most of the time, but I've made some great friends online. I really wanted to hang out with my RP buddies, so I made it happen. I was broke for two months after and I generally still hate holidays, but it was so, so worth it.
