May goes back and forth between wanting to write him off as an egotistical jerk who's a necessary evil when things get tough, and thinking of him as one of, if not the, best of her superhero allies. She's tight with the Avengers, but they don't come looking for her when her life is in danger simply because they just knew she'd done something stupid without telling anyone. She also loves her Uncle Phil, but that entire relationship is tempered with Phil's need to show that he's just as much as a hero as May, while this kind of posturing just doesn't exist with D because he doesn't need to do it. Of course, Darkdevil balances any of those warm fuzzy moments out by reminding May how far she still has to go.
On the other hand, she knows zip about his out-of-costume life (other than that he's apparently made of fire on the inside) and she's content to let that relationship stand where it is. Mostly because, like it or not, she respects Darkdevil and she's not going to go prying into his life without an invitation. She's also, for some reason even she doesn't get, always felt some kinship with him, to the point it doesn't bother her that he knows all about her secret identity or that he takes to stalking her from time to time.
And, since you didn't put up one of these things, feel free to explain his feelings on May here :P
