Back home I was a millionaire. CEO of this big company that I didn't really get or care about. All I know is I had money, and there were people out there who needed it. So I gave it away. Then... I got the idea to help the kids who's parents I had put away as Iron Fist. I started the dojo. I got to know them. Helped them with their schoolwork. Fed them food they'd never eaten before. Soon I realized that running that school was the thing I really wanted to do. With my life, I mean.

Then, I lost my company and the school was the only thing I had left. And then I came here. Figured if I was staying here for awhile, I might as well do the one thing I love to do.

I mean, I'm sure you've heard it all before. Great, noble, caring, generous, blah blah blah. And it is. It's just rare to meet someone who... how to put this... you know most people don't care about the kids, right? Even in our line of "work", let alone within the system.

They think once they lock up the criminal, it's over. They don't get the kids migth need us as much as the bystanders in a fi-- Iiiii'm rambling, aren't I. Sorry.

No, it's fine. It's just hard for me to look the other way with kids. Maybe it's because of what I've been through, but I just... don't like seeing kids being placed in bad situations.
