LAIH NEEDS TO ENTERTAIN HERSELF THIS WEEKEND

And how better than with art? My computer's gone for repairs, which means that I'm going to be gone, depending on how long they take to fix it.

So I'm going to play with art styles and sketch shit out! Not going to be big stuff, and all on *shock* actual paper with *gasp* actual media, so... anyone want a sketch?

NOTE: I will not be able to see any replies after around 5:30 or so, because that is when I am off of work and back to the land of the internet-free.

Pfft, if you want that, then go look at Mr. Adam "Breasts the size of beach balls is standard and who needs women to look strong and kickass anyway" Hughes.

You know, I actually don't like most of what he does. It isn't often the boobs that bother me, but how he draws hips/waist size.

I love most of what he does, but the hips/waist size actually does bother me most of the time.

It's their expressions that bother me the most. But then again, he wound up drawing Mary looking like she had a mental disability along with watermelon tits, so he's kind of permanently on my shit list.

I actually love the expressions and some of the sleazy cheesecake he has out, but I might just be as big a pervert as him. :(

Bwha, I don't wanna get into a debate over his work since I'm a huge fan. I can only say that a lot of his cheesecake is also requests/commissions by fans that meet him at cons, so I imagine why there's the extra mmf (http://www.comicartfans.com/Images/Category_22781/subcat_39724/Mary%20Marvel%20by%20Adam%20Hughes.jpg).

also i feel i should make examples! I liked this one, but it was apparently stolen. but this one, where all parts are kind of attractive apart when put together... aren't to me? i also find the face a bit... not hot here.

tbh, i actually like his sketches of zee more than his normal art of her. (i'd shank someone for the second one.)

His sketches have a lot more movement and grace to them. His sketches are absolutely beautiful.

The other ones you linked... I just can't shake the idea that Zee looks like she should fall over for being too top-heavy. :\ I know a lot of people like his work, but I don't, hahah. I appreciate that he's amazingly skilled at drawing and rendering and the technical bits of art, but I am just not a huge fan of his works, by and large.

It doesn't bother me too much because I know a lot of it is commission work, you know? And who is paying $2000+ (I've seen his auctions for custom paintings go around that much on eBay) for commissions other than nerdy fanboys who want hot chicks?

LOL yes, I always pay attention to his signature and then the obvious FOR BLAH BLAH BLAH scribbled somewhere on the page. His most sleazy work is always for someone.

And sometimes not. There's this really hot one of Wonder Woman with a nip slip that's really out of character that I find to be attractive, even if it's... well, out of character. I SHOULD PM YOU WITH IT.

I drew a topless Domino with an AK-47 tattoo, so IDK if I can talk about indecency/OOC behavior in fun sketches like that. XD

I'll admit I tend to ignore what I'm not interested in, so my recollection tends to be... what I follow/like (which ends up mostly being Zatanna, since none of the other ones I like are popular enough).

I wish he was a little more consistent in how his faces looked.

Like, I like this piece of Zee he did more than the cover for Catwoman... something. #52 or whatever.

His Catwoman is definitely the most consistent since he bases her look off of Audrey Hepburn. But yeah, I give him a lot of props as an artist. His professional work is breathtaking. Its his cheesecake that gets a lot of flack, and as a fan of Vargas girls and straight-up pin-up, I don't mind the subjects he draws half the time. I wish his waists were proportionate to the boobs he gives his girls, but like every artist, they have that one drawback they need to improve on.

I have to agree with that, to be honest. And I do understand that most of the weird boob ones or naked ones are commissions. You can immediately tell when the art's meant to be professional and when it's meant to be sold quickly at a con or was requested by someone.
