He and Ichigo are brothers around the same age... They do well in school... Street fighting is a frequent problem though.

I kind of realized how similar Ichigo and Yusuke's canon origins were (mostly because I haven't seen Yu Yu Hakusho since it stopped airing on Toonami Midnight Run), but yeah.

Ichigo does all the studying.
