The best thing is the comedy, the snark, and the explosions...even if some of them are misplaced. XD

Sadly, there isn't much I can offer that isn't any good. Most are of El or other characters and the ones for Sands are mostly fanfics and they're horrible. I'm talking....YIKES bad.

What's the worst thing in your particular character fandom?
The horrid cheesy ass romance fanfic about Steve Austin and Jaime Sommers. Largely because they did it well enough in the reunion specials and it really didn't need more elaboration. And the fact that largely awful sappy Steve/Jaime fanfic is the only thing that TBW/SMDM fandom produces besides random discussions and the occasional music video. Steve Austin doesn't have enough personality to fill out a fanfic character for one thing.

What's the best thing? The fact it aired from 1975-78 and still has a fandom, srsly. One that's strong enough that Universal finally got over the rights battles to get the show out on DVD (October 2010, W00t!)

Fall down dumbest thing?
The fact that Universal keeps deleting clips off Youtube even though most of them are short enough to actually be legal under fair use laws.

I understand to an extent a need to protect copyright, but things like that actually help ADVERTISE their show. At no cost to them. And a short clip is not a full episode. It's just stupid.

Seriously creepy pornfic/art involving the 13 year old characters in the series. NO I HAVEN'T READ IT. But I know it exists, which requires enough brainbleach as it is.

What's the best thing?
MOST people who are not creepy pervs are really nice, at least in my limited experience? And there's a wide variety of fic and some nice fan art out there.

Funniest thing?
I have a pic I need to upload later, but largely any humor fic/art put out by a fan named Rhianwen, and I mean that entirely complimentarily. She's a brilliant writer and does some fantastic crackfic.

Fall down dumbest thing?
Stupid ass shipwars, which ruins most fandoms for me and why I stay on the fringe of most any fandom. The Yomiko/Nenene fans and the Yomiko/Nancy fans are at each other's throats, and everyone beats the Maggie/Nenene fans with sticks till they bleed. *shows scars*

All the Luke Cage-hate. That Danielle ruined Luke's character as well as Jessica's. That Luke is Bendis's pet character and no one cares about him. Racist comments on him and his ability to lead two teams.

You know I can't really think of a complaint about Terra right now, so I'm going to vent about Yu Yu Hakusho and Mother a little. xD;

Yu Yu Hakusho:
worst thing: The movie. Partly because it gives very little indication of where in canon it's set and has a pretty weak plot, but mostly because of the HORRIFYING ENGLISH DUB OH MY GOD. (it was licensed before the show proper was in the US, and not by Funimation, which means that among other things it has a different (WORSE DEAR GOD) dub cast.)

funniest thing: well this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=25608St8KbE) exists. Also the characters all have character songs that are completely hilarious mostly because they're meant to be IC. Seriously, can you see Hiei and Kurama singing a heartfelt, bright and happy pop duet?

dumbest thing: the fact that Funimation can't get the license for the movie or the OVAs because of companies that don't even really exist anymore sitting on them. B|

Mother:

best thing: one of the best things imo is the songs from Mother 1 (many of which were in EarthBound as well) that were released as singles. Like, singles with words by actual performers. funniest thing: the games themselves. no lie.

dumbest thing: the fact that Nintendo apparently refuses to acknowledge the fact that the series has such a large non-Japanese following. FOR EXAMPLE, after Mother 3 was released Nintendo not only very firmly said they weren't releasing it in the US or Europe, they also politely looked the other way while English-speaking fans translated the entire game and distributed it as a translation patch to go with ROMs of the game so people could at least play it on emulator. I just. Don't understand why they won't sell the damn game outside of Japan.

Also, I can't reply to those questions without potentially raging at some point. I will say that I equally enjoy and hate retcons. I think it's brilliant for dumb things, but it also sort of sets it up so editors probably shrug and let writers do whatever ridiculous, crackpot schemes that they can come up with and to their heart's content. I love Tangent Comics and Elseworlds, even if there are none that really stick out that I'm a big fan of, though I did enjoy Life During Wartime while it lasted.

I also like the little niche characters that have been in under 100 issues or no one remembers for some reason or another, usually of the magical variety. DC has some really great characters that fall under the "magic" category that I really wish more people bothered with. Ragman (post-Crisis, please!), Nightshade, Enchantress, Witchfire (uh, sometimes?!), Nightmaster (my comic husband), and the Phantom Stranger is a surprisingly interesting character if you take the time to look-up some of his appearances outside of larger events. You can actually get a real personality and grow fond of him (also TROLLIN' ON THE MOOOOOOON).

Worst Thing: That the fandom is nearly non-existent (and it does write enough fanfic).

Best Thing: The fandom is pretty cool, if a bit pushy about how you have to READ SPIDER-GIRL OMG!!! sometimes. Also... while there's not a lot of it, the fics are pretty good and the fanart is adorkable.

Funniest Thing: I think, like, at least 60% of the Darkdevil fic is slash or kind of subtexty. This will never stop amusing me.
