I'll admit to being a little bit confused when we talk.

Mostly because I don't quite get what you want.

Well, a little bit. Most assholes I know talk because we want something. Even I do it to the people I grew up with.

But I won't deny being a little bit cold. Not corrupt, but I've been called heartless a time or two.

I can imagine. Politics does seem like a field where you have to sacrifice all the joy in your life for a taste of sweet, sweet power. Leaving you an empty shell of being.

It's not as sweet as you make it sound. Actually, it's really fucking annoying most of the time, but someone like me does it because we like to solve problems.

The empty shell thing has a little different of a reason.

Power is annoying to a politician? My mind is blown, like. Something being blown.

It's kind of a result of my accident.

No, that's a lie, that's making excuses.

Shit, I don't know, because problems are easier to solve than people.

I think people are easy, personally.

Uh. Easy to understand, I mean. I mean, people aren't evil. We all have our motivations.

Sure, everyone wants something.

The difference is, if a bridge breaks, or there's high unemployment and a defecit, those are things I can fix. Not easy solutions, but they're fixable. People are less stable. They're going to change a fuck-ton, and you can't predict or fix it.

Hell, most people don't want you to fix things.

So, what? Do you just throw up your hands when dealing with people?

Do you just give up?

Not really. I just suffer through it for the most part.

People don't exactly like me.

There has to be a reason.

It's probably because I've spent years communicating with machines.

They talk different.

Okay. That? Is still enormously weird to me.

So, does that mean you sacrifice real social interaction because of it? I know I'm not exactly the model of "getting along with people," but still. Wow.

Not so much sacrificing but...

Like, you can't shut them out. They're everywhere, and you can't shut them up.

Well, you can, but it's not exactly good for everyday use.
