I like where this is going.

It's a mystery.

It's Casey Affleck. (http://turbo.indyposted.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/Casey-Affleck.jpg) I started using him as a PB a few years ago and just never stopped. Who could stop that (http://cache.boston.com/bonzai-fba/Globe_Photo/2008/02/26/1204033276_0691.jpg)?

Also, aside from his exquisite acting abilities, the man has perfected the sneer, it just thrills me. Thrills me.

Until DC caves to my demands and issues more retroactive Riddler canon (Detective Annual 8, a five-issue arc in LotDK that dealt somewhat in flashbacks and a few Who's Who directories are not enough), he is logically mid-thirties (assuming he even finished high school, I am pulling a lot of years for filler and mid-thirty is the higher end of the possible spectrum), which some writers seem to not be aware of! Like Tony Daniel, whom I will always yell at, always, given half the chance. But basically, he left home ~18, did the carnival thing (that hasn't been directly contradicted in anything post-Infinite Crisis, so I'm keeping it), the odd job thing, before moving to Gotham ~5 years, and was a first-wave Batrogue around the time that Batman was still in that "maybe still a myth maybe not" phase. Then I give about a decade for his riddling time, and a couple of years to encompass 52 + the reformation years.

Not like Tony Daniel would ever reflect this continuity logic in his art ever. Have you read the recent issue of Batman? I cried deep down.

I'm nervous about the upcoming Batman issue, can you tell?

ANYWAY baw 8)

look at my rambles, you'll have to forgive me this is a topic that makes me ramble

BUT YES oh my goodness, wouldn't it be fun to cast different canons According To A Knight's Tale? Or maybe the inverse -- but anyway! Gosh Sewell is mysterious and incredibly -- dare I say it -- dapper. HRM HRM HRM.

I've not only mostly given up on Bat-books lately, but ugh I don't want anything Daniel's serving. Definite apprehension of anything he does involving Eddie, esp since I remember implications some time back that he made him remember everything!

I've always had some kind of ~nebulous~ feeling that Vic was in his mid or mid-late 30s, I think he turned either 29 or 30 itself during the O'Neil series, actually. But I also always saw him as around Nee's age to, or a little older, and 52 established her as being born in 1970. So how perfect would it be for him to be born in 1967, when he made his debut? That's would put him around 38 or 39 when he died.
I haven't totally mapped out how old he was at various points, though.

Hank is a lot more complicated, because I think he's mid-30s, but sometimes he feels a lot older than that, especially with his extensive, extensive education (jesus christ three doctorates, a few masters and idk how many bachelors).

Comic book time, it's fucking complicated.

somehow i have this picture in my head of rufus sewell as hugo strange
but that doesn't seem right

he's hard to lace in a role that Nolanverse hasn't already claimed
