I know ages ago a lot of people were really surprised that she didn't sound HIGH VOICE KAWAII DESU, but I don't know if people still make that assumption! SHE HAS A MATURE-R VOICE? IF ANYONE CARES I WILL DIG UP A VOICE CLIP. SPOILERS: SHE HAS A LOWER VOICE THAN TERRA AND CLOVER. SOMEHOW. but oh god do not listen to her voice in the dub it makes me cry all the tears.

As such, her sentence structure can sometimes get a little convoluted! She usually sounds pretty calm and level, with a steady, slower pace (especially compared to Rua.)

Citywise, getting involved in Quatre's emotional rampage of street-flinging is pretty much the event that defined the next two freaking years of her life, so there's that. However, she's still young, so while there are a great many huge and impacting moments that have changed and are changing her, she's still not yet ready to be defined one way or another as who she's going to be.

Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with her parents. Birth parents: HEY RUKA WE KNOW YOU'RE SICK AND ALL BUT WE GOTTA GO FUCK OFF TO THE BAHAMAS FOR THE NEXT FIFTEEN YEARS, SEEYA. Literally we only see them in flashbacks to when she was three, and we never get to see their faces. Ruka herself is the one that explains that the parents are always on business, but since they write, she and Rua live cozily enough. That's why she's so super dependent on Rua, actually. About sixty episodes after that (series you are so wonderful with pacing), Ruka meets a boy who explains that one day his parents abandoned him and his sister, and he never saw them again. Ruka instantly announces to herself that this is exactly the same situation as her and Rua, so AS FAR AS SHE'S CONCERNED, HER BIRTH PARENTS HAVE ABANDONED HER. assuming they are her birth parents I WILL NEVER SHUT UP ABOUT THIS.
And then in the City she got two WAY BETTER parents, which considering some of that criteria was "come home at least once a year" was not a difficult bar to surpass. He's also pretty much home-schooling her on the side forever, captain of the Can't Sleep Nightmare Tea Party brigade, is the stable force in the family (HE IS THE CORNERSTONE AND FOUNDATION AND SIX OTHER BUILDING METAPHORS I CAN'T THINK OF RIGHT NOW). They're similar in a lot of ways, so it's easy for them to get along.
