Rydia of Mist (Final Fantasy IV)
Rydia starts off the game as a cute sad loli. Sad because you just killed her mom and blew up her village. You jerk. Then she gets swallowed by a sea serpent and grows up for ten years in fairyland so that she can come back a few days later as an adult and save your ass. She is a bit rude (which is kind of understandable considering she's been living with monsters for most of her life), a little flighty and intense, and very shinily idealistic and compassionate. She also goes to the moon on a space whale and has her ninja not-boyfriend totally whipped.
Allenby Beardsley (Mobile Fighter G Gundam)
When Allenby first appears outside of her Gundam, she is punching things for fun. She's a little bit of a rebel that way on account of having been raised to be a human weapon after being orphaned at a young age (this happens a lot in Gundam) and not really liking it. Like the hero, Domon, she's big on communicating with her fists, but she's also not a complete emotional idiot and knows when to give the right relationship advice while dressed as a fairy in a dream sequence. When she's not punching things, she fights with what Sailor Moon would look like if she were a giant robot. Also she has a berserker mode, in which she screams and roars a lot. So basically she's the horrifying spawn of a genki girl and a Viking, which kind of makes sense since she's Swedish. Well, Neo-Swedish. It's complicated.
