Oh, I get it.

Anyway, the only advice I can give is either to prove that you aren't or to not let it get to you. Both probably aren't what you want to hear, but once you set your mind to one or the other, it gets easier. In the end, you just have to do what will make you the happiest, even if it is at the expense of your reputation.
