Okay, I'll bite, even if I haven't been playing the Monster that long.
THE GOOD: He's a really friendly character with terrible judge in character, so I feel like I can use him to tag pretty much anyone, which is good for a first character, I think. And he can be really fun in threads at his best. Ahhh, I love the Monster in the Darkness. I think he has a nice balance between "weirdly adorable", "kind of a failure" and "actually pretty threatening sometimes".
THE DIFFICULT: He's very self-centered, but at the same time he doesn't really talk about himself that much in canon? But he's very chatty and almost always has something to say. So when he has to talk about himself I'm a bit unsure of his voice? Actually, I'm a bit unsure of his voice a lot because it's almost too close to my own, so I have to pause and make sure "is this how I'm saying it or how he'd say it?" And I'm still iffy on the whole Human Monster thing. Sometimes I like it and sometimes I want to roll around on the floor going OH GOD I MISSED THE ENTIRE POINT OF HIS CHARACTER because I am overdramatic. Also he's really passive and that makes it difficult to get him to do anything action-wise. That's not a huge fault, though.
fffffff okay, and I've been thinking of apping Flint Marko aka Sandman (Spectacular Spidey version), and presuming that no one else takes him:
The Good: I LOVE FLINT. HE JUST WANTS THE BIG SCORE OKAY. Also I am having way too much fun writing the rough draft of his app.
The Bad: I haven't started playing him yet. Also, I considered apping Comics!Sandman, but continuity that goes past my age makes me go crosseyed. If the character's been around for twice as long as I have, I ain't gonna attempt that. But it does make me wonder what I should or shouldn't include in his app. Should I mention his real name is William Baker or is that comics only? Stuff like that.
