and it's my turn! Specifically, what does your character find attractive in others? it could be physical traits, personality traits, hobbies, that Sims-esque heart-shaped hot tub full of somebody else's blood in their back room, anything - what do they look for in a prospective partner? do they admit to looking for these things? do they event realize they look for these things? Do they look at all?

I think Hush conflicts with that, then. The specific verbiage Ivy uses is "No man or woman can resist me," which ignores orientation completely.

That was before Ivy realized it didn't work on people not attracted to women, though! So I wouldn't say it's a conflict. She was later surprised it didn't work on Piper, so that pretty much goes in the face of what Ivy thought she could do. Because, let's face it, she puts a lot of stock in those powers and it makes her overconfident.

Technically? It was during Countdown when Ivy's powers were further defined like that but it would still have retroactive implications.

Eh, I'm not a huge fan of incorporating every retcon if they don't really fit the character and it doesn't seem to be what the author was going for. Even the Sylvia stuff is a real stretch, since it's heavily implied that Sylvia's feelings are one-sided. Adult Selina has never actually been shown to be sexually attracted to anyone aside from dudes, and manly dudes at that. Before, I've put her as a 0 or 1 on the Kinsey scale.

Well even if she was bisexual it doesn't mean you'd have to change your playing, it just means she has the potential for attraction to two genders not "definitely is attracted to all women, ever," and Selina being attracted to dudes / manly dudes wouldn't have to change either. Authorial intent is a gray area because we can't presume what Loeb was going for in either direction, just the implications that were established. And it was a retcon I always enjoyed/felt was interesting; I don't think sexuality constitutes a retcon that "fits" or "doesn't fit" especially when it's a sexuality that doesn't overwrite existing canon, i.e. bisexuality doesn't invalidate heterosexual relationships? But it's always nice when something is retconned to be further inclusionary rather than exclusionary.

I don't see it as being an issue of inclusionary or exclusionary. In canon, Selina's always pretty obvious when she's attracted to men and has never shown attraction to a woman. To me, that would make her either closeted or unaware. But she's been established as very open about sexuality and very self-aware when it comes to her emotions. So it is an issue of needing to rework her established personality to make it make sense.
