This has probably been mentioned already and I'm really slow to the party but Dreamwidth are currently joinable WITHOUT an invite code. And will be for the week (except idk when their 'week' ends).

So.

Now is the time to make mass amounts of accounts to have on reserve.

The icon selector thing has been around for aaaages (or at least was for paid accounts) but it was always an option before, trouble is is now for people like me with shitty internet, it's making pages and posting comments take an age because it's loading icons unnecessarily. Even then it's often not loading all my icons :|

I don't know why they've decided to force us to have something that used to be optional-- oh wait, it's LJ.

also this new layout is beautiful, i can see icons again
