Gamzee isn't sure at this point if he feels guilty for what he's done to John at this point or not. There's certainly a part of him that feels bad for doing what he did, and he does have an idea that John might be one of the only reasons he's alive what with all the things he's done to piss some of John's friends off, but he still hasn't ever had a real reason to particularly like John and he doesn't exactly have his old personality that would make him become insta-friends with John either.

He's probably going to apologize to John, but he's certainly not going to tell him exactly how he made him afraid of clowns. There are some things he thinks that are best kept a secret until he's sure he won't be losing his moirail and everyone else he cares about.

All of that being said he might still want to prank, and be a little awful, to John even after saying he's sorry.
