clint & carol | Carol is one of the few people Clint didn't have issues to work out with upon entering the city, and that meant that they basically established their previous dynamic again. Which means that Clint sees Carol as one of his best friends, he trusts her inherently about most everything, and he even values her advice and opinions (no small thing, for him). Since there's been more downtime in the city, they've gotten to be more laid back than the last few months at home, and that has also definitely colored their relationship. In an awkward turn of events, Clint finds himself in the middle ground between Carol and Pietro, and some day he may force the two of them to have that out, for better or for worse. But all in all Clint is just really grateful to have Carol around.

donna & kanaya | A lot of things endear Kanaya to Donna: she's a mother hen, a fashion enthusiast, and also a young alien in a strange land! So basically Donna sees a lot of herself and also Kori in Kanaya, and that is a recipe for instant attachment. Donna finds herself constantly impressed by Kanaya's maturity and sense of responsibility, but at the same time she wishes Kanaya would be more carefree. Donna tries her utmost to understand the cultural differences between them, and during most of their deeper conversations Donna just wants to give Kanaya a rather big hug. All in all, she sees the younger girl as a little sister, and is feeling more and more maternal towards her.

clint & hank | Clint hadn't really seen Hank in ages before coming to the city, though I expect in all those big Heroic Age Launch Reunion Parties^TM they must have at least said hi. In the city, Clint is infinitely glad to have Hank around! He's a bro (and let's be honest, here, Clint's company in the city has been mostly women) and better yet he's smart and just a fun guy to be around. Avengers are family to Clint, and Hank falls very firmly into that category. He's someone Clint trusts, respects, and enjoys spending time with.

donna & roxanne | Donna is very impressed by Roxanne! Her tenacity and dedication remind Donna the most of Lois, maybe, which is a high compliment indeed. Better yet, Roxanne is someone Donna can speak freely with, and it is always nice to have a gal pal. She trusts Roxanne, and likes spending time with her!

donna & terezi | Donna likes Terezi, a lot! She thinks that she is endearing and adorable and a little strange, but there's nothing wrong with that. She actually just has a lot of empathy for aliens since they remind her of Starfire. Since her death she's been insanely worried about her, and would probably like to take her out for ice cream or something soon to just see if she's doing alright.

Dick > Donna

damian & dick | Dick is the single most important person in Damian's life. Since Dick's death, Damian has realized how much he needs Dick to be around, and so values him a bit more. This doesn't mean he's any nicer, to be certain, but in the back of his mind this point is made. At the end of the day, Dick is his partner, his mentor, and his brother. And it would take a great deal to change that.

donna & dick | Dick has always been Donna's best friend, and being in the city has not changed that. He's still the person she trusts most, who she has the most fun with, and whom she worries the most about. She's proud of him for taking on the Batman role and doing so well with it, but she also considers it her responsibility to make sure he doesn't become Bruce!Bats. She loves him, totally and forever.

Donna > Monster?

donna & monster | Donna finds Monster really endearing--this is partly because she had a son at once point who never grew to be Monster's age, and talking to him about holidays and candy and tings makes her think of the things she might have done with that son. On a less cripplingly depressing note, she also just thinks that Monster is adorable and wants to mother him.

damian & midii | Damian has a soft spot for children. He thinks they are mostly just victims of their circumstance and that adults can be blamed for most of what happens to them. That being said, he finds it hard to respect children, too, because he doesn't give them much credit. However, Midii challenges those notions. She seems hardened and strong, and Damian can respect that. He doesn't hate her, which is saying a lot, for him.

clint & sulu | Spoilers: most of Clint's friends in the city are female. So the fact that he has made a new guy friend makes him very happy. He was never much of a trekkie (Star Wars all the way, man) but he knows vaguely that Carol fangirls over it? But in any case he just thinks that Sulu is a cool bro and likes chilling with him.

clint & jan | Jan is one of Clint's oldest and dearest friends. They've always gotten along well, and Jan is one of Clint's favorite people. However, complications: fist, right before Clint's death, they were awkwardly sleeping together, and refusing to talk about feelings or lack thereof. Then, Clint died. Then he came back, but didn't tell the Avengers he was back and therefore didn't see Jan again until Secret Invasion, when she died. And he was very sad about that, except that was the same day he got Bobbi back. So there was a lot of mixed emotions going on. But basically he loves Jan and feels guilty about her death and wants her back forever.

damian & nill | Damian doesn't understand how he feels about Nill. He wants to protect her and likes seeing her smile, but can't really process why. It isn't a romantic attachment, but rather an appreciation of the one person who demands nothing from him and accepts him as he is. Damian, who constantly needs acceptance, finds Nill a soothing presence and a good friend.

clint & natasha | Obviously, Natasha is someone who has had a profound impact on Clint's life, and is a person he will always care very strongly about. He likes having her approval, he cares about her opinion, and he trusts her, a lot! He appreciates having her in the city, because she's one person who is incredibly solid and he knows where he stands with her. If anything particularly serious ever happened and he needed advice, he'd probably want her counsel the most.

clint & bucky | Clint does not know what to make of this young version of Bucky. At home, he respected Bucky, at least to an extent, and had sort of figured out how to deal with him in terms of challenging him and working with him at different intervals. He accepted that they had a lot of the same goals, especially re: rescuing Steve! And Clint probably considered Bucky more of an Avenger than Bucky himself did, come to think of it. But in any case, all that gets tossed out the window when confronted with young edition Bucky, and Clint is left see-sawing between wanting to be nicer to him and wanting to mess with him. Because he is a responsible adult.
