Donna is Dick's best friend, and the lady he's known the longest in his life. He really does consider her a sister in every way that matters, and there's pretty much nothing he wouldn't tell her or any amount of heaven and earth he wouldn't move for her safety and comfort. While back home they live in different cities and sometimes go through long periods of time where they don't see each other every day, for Dick it's definitely one of those relationships that never misses a beat when they're back together, no matter how long they've been apart. Having her so close by in the city is pretty fantastic though, and he will pretty much take any opportunity to steal her for shenanigans. He does worry sometimes about her and her feeeelings, but it's only because he cares. :c

In lots of ways Damian is really the most important person to Dick in the city right now, and it’s very much a responsibility that he takes 100% seriously. More so now that he’s died and come back, because abandonment is abandonment whether it’s intentional or not, and he knows that more than anyone and he just... wishes there was a way to magically fix that mistake and make it better even though he knows there isn’t. :c Now that he's going on a year and a half in the city himself he's also starting to privately think of this tour of duty as something more permanent, which means he needs to consider the future and Damian's future more than he did before. Basically right now he worries a lot and is probably leaning more towards the hideously permissive side of failtastic guardianing at the moment because he doesn't want to risk alienating him while they're still sorting feelingsy things out.
