no subject
Santo’s always going to be one of Julian’s main friends in the City. There’s a reason he turned to Santo first when he was looking for a new partner in the DOI. While there are other guys that he’s friends with and trusts here, none of them match Santo because Julian still pretty much considers them part of the same team. Or rather he considers Santo part of his team, even though it was broken up. That doesn’t matter. If he had his way, the Hellions would still be together and that means he has a fairly unique attitude towards Santo in the City. Also, of everyone in the City, Santo has known him the longest, and that matters too. If he was asked who he wanted at his back, Santo would be first on the list and he wouldn’t have to think twice about that.
That Santo’s from his future here doesn’t really bother him. As far as he can tell, everything seems the same as what he remembers so it doesn’t affect his impression of him. The main thing that’s changed is that Santo’s with Rikku. Julian thinks they’re good together, and he hopes they last. He will probably never say this because that would mean a talk about ~feelings, and Julian likes to avoid those. He’s as supportive of it as he was of Cessily and Kevin getting together, though.
