Anywho, what does your character find attractive in others? it could be physical traits, personality traits, hobbies, that Sims-esque heart-shaped hot tub full of somebody else's blood in their back room, anything - what do they look for in a prospective partner? do they admit to looking for these things? do they even realize they look for these things? Do they look at all?

Nero is attracted to a very particular type of person. One thing that is pretty blatant about him during the game is that he goes for personality more than looks, and unless he's very much blatantly teased [read: Gloria] someone who's bootylicious will likely get a casual "damn", because he's certainly not blind or dead, but not much else. Make your physical attributes obvious and flirt with him blatantly and that'll get him flustered, though, and he'll go all /SCRATCHY NOSE AVERTS EYES, because he's actually kinda naïve! He'd go whyisthisladyopenlyflirtingwithmethatmakesnogoddamnedsensewhyamispeakinginsuchahighpitchedvoice???

Never the less, his girlfriend back home is kind of a babe, if you are into choir girls. And that's exactly what really attracts Nero to someone, as he pretty much loves that she's delicate and candid, and that she sees good in what most people don't. She is, however, a lot less innocent that you'd peg her at first glance, and she does her own, albeit very subtle and very particular, version of teasing Nero, which is why she's got him wrapped around her little finger. She's the one to wear the pants in this relationship, yes. But she's pretty much why Nero loves a good singing voice and why he'll stare a little longer at red hair.

In a nutshell, Nero is attracted to peacefulness, tranquility, cool-headedness above all. That is to say, what he isn't. Or at least, what considers he isn't. But growing up together these differences between them that could only create some bitter envy or strong clashes only made those two accept them and compliment each other.

There are other traits that Nero is attracted to, though, and that's wisdom, loyalty, trust and the ability to think for one's self. Also, a great sense of humor. But those are traits he's more likely to appreciate in a broship than exactly romance.

JAMES BOND

Ooohkay, this is going from like movie and book canon and will be tl;dr...

One of the initial attractions for Bond is, of course, appearance. James likes his women to be stunning to look at, either classically beautiful or smokin' hot and able to carry themselves with confidence. Brunettes and red heads seem to be his preferred, but he'll take what he can get. Plus he wants natural over fake every single time, he doesn't go for plastic surgery and boob jobs as a rule. He has also been known to like women who aren't perfect in every way, like setting his sights on a chick with a broken nose (except then he was then obsessed with trying to get it fixed, but maybe that's part of the appeal, the 'fixing' thing. oh how patronising). I do think, beyond his initial response of hitting on attractive women, he does DEVELOPFEELINGZ~ for all sorts of chicks anyway, then dependant on their personalities, and he does have the view that all women are beautiful in some way, even if it's just from like an 'artists' point of view. idk it sounds patronising but then again Bond is so whatever lmao.

When it comes to personality and an actual possibility of something more than a one night stand, James likes the independent ladies. He likes the modern women who are all for standing up for themselves, kicking asses and generally just capable of taking care of themselves. He likes that self assertiveness and he likes someone who can put him in his place without much fuss, because he knows he's a pain in the ass. They also need to be intelligent, not necessarily like 'oh i have high grades' but more so in their own field. Something like an exceptionally street wise chick would appeal because she's intelligent and quick thinking in regards to coping on the street, or a chick who's quick witted and able to keep up with his ideas and quips would also be a sure winner.

Having a woman who can deal with him day in day in and day out is probably hard enough to find seeing as he's a massive attention whore and often needs to be talking or cuddling or sexing or stalking. He does also like his alone time though so needs someone who can respect that.

There is, however, a deep need for a woman that has ISSUES~, dark pasts and/or one that needs some sort of help or aid. He likes someone he can 'rescue', such as Vesper who had all these omg dark past and was all 'oh noez i helped kill a man i feel so bad hold me', or Camille who turned to bond for advice on murdering a dude, then needed saving~ from the scary fire. Even with his love for the modern woman, James still holds onto the view of being the protector, along with still being the classic gentleman in the sense of holding doors open, standing when a lady enters the room etcetc. Plus he is occasionally a massive sexist, but mostly unintentionally. So yeah, he needs a woman he can protect or save or help in some way, he basically likes to be relied on just occasionally.

When it comes to one night stands, he just doesn't give a shit. Mostly he just picks out the most attractive woman in the room and sleeps with her for one night and never ever contacts again. He prefers them married because then they're less likely to except anything more. such a gentleman.

He's heterosexual, but exceptionally comfortable in his own sexuality, so he can jokingly hit on guys without being all 'ew gross gays', but yeah, he will stick to women thank you very much.

Basically, Zee goes for the guys that aren't good for her (and she is more than aware of this). She is often attracted to the sort of guy she has little in common with; this has been brought up in canon several times and she has acknowledged it.

Physically, she tends to go for less perfect-superhero-physique like John, but she has dated several men who look like Doctor Thirteen -- nerdy-looking brunettes with wayfarers -- so I honestly would say that she is attracted to all sorts of dudes, though they often are a few years older than she is (which isn't hard because she is a year or two younger than most of the original JLA). Her long-term relationships are not particularly long, but they're usually with more average-looking men (at least in terms of her canon).

She is most attracted to people with strong, dynamic personalities (HAHA BRUCE EXCLUDED HE'S SO BORING!!) and though she usually does that self-sabotage thing, she is really attracted to magic users -- part of that is her life is really dedicated to magic as an ability and as an interest; she likes to research and explore and to learn more and the only people who really can fall into that category are others who use magic.

Uhh I could honestly write an essay on how screwed up she is when it comes to relationships and feelings, but I won't bother! Really, all you need to know is she makes stupid choices, doesn't usually have lengthy relationships (though she would like to, it's just bad luck!), and does tend to indulge in one night stands. :|a

He's still not entirely sure what physically attracts him to another person - it's been less than a year since he's physically been in the presence of other people - and hasn't really sorted out physical attraction and emotional attraction yet.

Kaiba: Kaiba has convinced himself that he doesn't actually need anyone. Subconsiously though, he seeks out people who he can respect. They have to be completely dedicated and talented at what they set their mind to. Since he has a hard time dealing with his emotions he also seeks out people who won't make him. His and Slipstream's whatever the hell it is, is mostly due to the fact that there's an underlying "I don't like you" to their normal interactions. One of the most important aspects of a prospective partner is that they won't ask him to put words to or even admit that he likes them until he's good and ready (hint: you'll be waiting awhile).

Goku: Goku is odd because he doesn't fall into a single age category or maturity level. I see him as old enough to see people in a sexual way, but grossly stunted considering how he was raised (raised by monks, and learned by example to ridicule Gojyo's exploits). He looks for someone strong, capable and honest. Honesty is a huge thing since he hates secrets and lying. Everyone he meets is assumed to have only desirable traits until they prove otherwise.

Okay, so, to a ten-year-old, love basically equates to somebody you want to spend time with as often as you can, and who makes you happy to be around. In addition, Midii also tends to gravitate towards "mature" boys with similar pasts, because they have a better chance of understanding her.

She wants somebody to talk to, or at least sit with in a comfortable silence where words aren't necessary. Preferably close to her age, though she can hold her own in an adult conversation as well. In terms of attraction, it's not so much how he looks as how he makes her feel. If she thinks she can be herself, and not have to pretend or play the usual "child-like" role others try to place her in, she will like him more. If he challenges her in some way...even better.

Kindness is important, but there are various ways to show it; she's very good with the unspoken and reading body language, and would be able to discern kind ess from the most stoic of figures if the sentiment is there. In some ways, she's drawn to the outwardly cold because those rare moments mean all the more. Plus, she's not really big on PDA herself. Most importantly, he has to be honest with her. A little mystery is okay, as long as he does not outright lie, because she's seen what lies can do.

Bender is a simple robot who likes sexy girls. Personality and such are the lowest priority with him, since he has very few relationships that exist beyond the physical! If he did have to choose someone though, it would have to be someone who listens to him constantly and puts up with his zany shenanigans.

Ladd used to like dominant women, until his sweetheart got herself killed during eloping. Since then, he likes weak, submissive women who will let him kill them, but he still admires a dominant women. He just wants someone who will stick around until he decides to kill them!

Shirley likes cheesy, flirty romantic gestures, and traditional good looks. The guy does have to be nice and friendly though, since Shirley is well versed in the ways of the bad boy, but good looking men aren't exactly off her radar.

Alright I don't think I've ever really sat down and written out this sort of thing for Seras so it will be an interesting exercise for me. As result though, fair warning, it might be a bit rambly/disorganized.

First off Seras has no sexual experience at all. This ended up being to her advantage as otherwise she wouldn't have been able to become a vampire, but it does mean she's rather nervous and awkward when the subject comes up. However she's not, as some people might think, erotiphobic. She just doesn't know what she doesn't know. Oh yes she is heterosexual and I see no evidence to think otherwise.

She's also rather inexperienced at the whole dating thing, maybe having been on just a couple so far in her life. Partly this is because she didn't make time for it as a teenager. She was too busy spending her time trying to become a cop. The other reason is because most of the boys she knew she grew up with in the orphanage and to them she was the scary girl who spent the first couple of years beating the shit out of anyone that pissed her off. Yeah she might be kind of nice now, but Seras was a pretty nasty person just after her parents murder.

Okay so with that out of the way onto what she's actually attracted to. First she's not attracted to men who remind her of her father which is a good thing because no one would ever measure up. She is attracted to men who are ruggedly handsome with maybe a bit of roughness about their features. She's also very attracted to men who tease her despite how annoyed she gets or acts. Though there is a line where she'll just slap them if they cross it. Also a big one here she's attracted to older men which I know seems to conflict with her not having a daddy thing, but it's really more about experience. She needs someone who's been there and done that just a little who can who can help guide her and lend support.

Which is a huge thing for her. The teasing and all of that it needs to be backed up my someone who is willing to be there for her no matter what. She doesn't need a protector she needs a companion, though let me say that doesn't mean she needs an equal. As long as they're willing to fight alongside her and help support she's completely capable of being involved with a superior.

To sum it up in an archetype she is attracted to the charming rogue type in general. Alright that should be it. I might come back and edit this as I realize that I left out OMFG important details.

Seriously, though, he comes from a race with just one physical sex that varies a bit in appearance based on hormone levels and can fluctuate a lot during a lifetime. He finds the very defined and strongly expressed sexual and gender differences in humans fascinating and beautiful and delights in trying each different body type. Despite his amusement with extreme masculinity and femininity, though, his natural inclinations tend to lean more towards androgynous types, both male and female.

He likes strong, dominant women who clearly express both beauty and power.
In men, he's attracted more towards their talent and personality, most often, but it may be because he resists his attractions to men most of the time. It's only when it becomes a mental and emotional connection that he gives up holding himself back.
In both sexes, he loves intelligence and talent, though, and in physical appearance he likes the exotic. Almost anything 'different' will pique his interest, like beautiful tattoos, or naturally curly hair. He's also attracted to dark skin, since that's non-existent in his race (though it may have existed at one time).

He leans more towards women when looking for sex, but his attraction is about evenly split. The preference has to do more with how the hormonal shifts in his race work. He prefers to take a bottom roll with men (He's a bossy bottom, though, and switching is a must to keep things from getting boring), and too much of that runs the risk of shifting his hormonal balance and physical appearance more towards the feminine side than it already is and he tries to avoid that. (This has more to do with a social stigma among his own people that has been sort of hard wired into him to be wary of than any thought out personal preference or belief on the matter. Given enough time, he probably won't care)
