six months ago!! I get to ask it again and also it's one of my favorite notmemes!!

Anywho, what does your character find attractive in others? it could be physical traits, personality traits, hobbies, that Sims-esque heart-shaped hot tub full of somebody else's blood in their back room, anything - what do they look for in a prospective partner? do they admit to looking for these things? do they even realize they look for these things? Do they look at all?

PRETTY BOYS, MOST OFTEN OF QUESTIONABLE CHARACTER. Nice hair (especially in non-traditional colors) and vibrant eyes seem to be the big thing for her; personality and character tend to be late to enter the picture. She sees no problems with having a crush on more than one boy at a time, since she's never actually been in a relationship.

She obviously prefers it when the cute guys she likes demonstrate that they like her in return -- nicknames, compliments even if she deflects them, wanting to spend time with her, etc -- but if she is attracted to a guy, she will remain attracted to him even if he has zero interest in her at all. THIS IS ALL CANON, WHY.

More often than not (or, in canon, every goddamn time), crushes she gets tend to turn sour, in that the guy tends to fight/try to kill her twin brother, or her, or else is already dead, or else is actually a geriatric old man whose brain had been downloaded into three separate robot bodies THANKS, 5D'S. There were definitely guys in the higher age bracket (16+) that she liked, but considering the age different she'd never admit to them.

In the City, I have lost track of the total number of guys near-her-age she's liked, but off hand there was Riku, Joey, Alex, Luciano (castmate who, when he arrived in the City, totally pulled the "oh we're DATING back home! :3" card), which is hilariously as close as she's gotten to an actual relationship. Oh and Eridan, who she has been totally doki-doki for for months now.

She doesn't really think about who she likes or why she likes them; certainly, she'd never actually say I DON'T CARE HOW HE ACTS TO OTHER PEOPLE I JUST WANT HIM TO LIKE ME, because wow Ruka your fucking standards are terrible.

Hasn't quite hit the point where he actually feels attraction to people yet -- boys and girls are just people he can be friends with; none of that other stuff comes to mind to him yet. For that matter, when other people are attracted to him (and ZEXAL doubles as a harem anime), Yuma completely misses every fucking clue and has no idea how to deal with it. One girl sort of dances around that she likes him, saying that she can only connect to "him" through dueling and that he never notices her and her feelings, and Yuma calls him a jerk, not understanding that she's talking about Yuma! She even tries confessing her love to him RIGHT THEN, but he just talks right over her and ignores everything she says! He doesn't get that Kotori gets jealous of him interacting with Cathy and doesn't notice that she blushes when he does things like grab her by the hand (to pull her out of gunfire) or fight to defend her (no he was just very anti-vegetable). And when Anna chases him around town with a bazooka and frequently goes "YUMA I L--love... you YOU JERK, IF I WIN THIS MATCH YOU'RE MINE." he has no idea what she's going on about. Way to go, Yuma!!

As such we don't really know what kind of person he's attracted to, but the show is definitely framing it as though Yuma and Kotori will GROW UP GET MARRIED HAVE BABIES, since they have drawn a lot of parallels between how he treats Kotori and how his dad treated his mom. (Re: go on all our adventures together and never hesitates to throw self in mortal peril to protect her.)

WHAT IS LOVE?

no okay Terra has pretty much zero concept of physical attraction and a really stunted understanding of romantic attraction. They're things she's pretty sure she wants to feel, but it just doesn't happen for her. She's sort of stumbled into a romantic relationship with Zelgadis, but despite how long it's been going on and everything they've been through, the love she feels for him is almost entirely platonic. Whoops! But kissing is nice too, so hey why the hell not.
