Someone I knew via a web radio station had a copy that was scanned from a vinyl of that song. It was amazing.

I like to think Pherson was a huge audiophile before he got his powers, considering the origin of his powers -- probably some rock and some indy hipster stuff and some jazz and a bit of metal -- idk

That all changed when he got his powers though, since you don't really listen to a lot of music when you're in a cave or attacking people with animals -- I like to think sometimes if he hears old music he likes he stops and listens for a bit and might even nudge close to lucid. But ultimately it must be hard to listen to anything with all the animals "talking" in his head.

Negotiator's an alien and idk listens to space music or something, who knows. I don't usually tag to music but dubstep and electronic music usually makes me think of him (super-short youtube playlist, plus teardrop for some reason)

Monster listens to whatever anybody else is listening to! But he particularly likes bright bubbly music and that pop star everybody else is listening to that people scorn but the music is super catchy. This is also the sort of music I listen to that makes me think of him so (also weird al leave me alone)

Calendar Man likes seasonal music -- christmas carols (in december - but more "god rest ye merry gentleman" than "jingle bells"), creepy music (in october), etc etc. He also likes classical. I listen to vaguely related if you squint indie music and the nightmare before christmas ost for some reason (particularly amy's song and jack's lament idek why).

dave is canonically a total hipster and only likes bands nobody has ever heard of. though not once does he actually mention any bands so it could be said that he is so hipster he only likes thing that even he has never heard of. ~~~~~irony~~~~~

anyway he is also a total dj wannabe and deep into rap so i guess he listens to a lot of techno, electronica and ofc rap itself. something with a good base that you can totes flow over.

AS FOR ME i exclusively listen to j-core while doing his tags because i am also this big goobery nerd.

zee listens to punk, protopunk, post-punk, jazz, some blues, chanson, baroque and art pop, folk, some new wave, etc. you get the drift.

i listen to a lot of fire on fire, handsome family, prince, de la soul, a tribe called quest, jarvis cocker (and pulp), a ha, spandau ballet, talking heads, david byrne, brian eno, elysian fields, howard jones, jonathan richman (& the modern lovers), uh. angelo badalamenti and italian horror (mostly from goblin) soundtracks are a thing i listen to frequently, as well.

i really like music!! but i tend to favor americana, alt-country, late 80s/early 90s rap and r&b, and synthpop/sophisti-pop/new romantic (or, embarrassing and cheesy 80s music).

Reilly, as always, is a secret rap snob and someday I will reference this in game.

Ax, on the other hand, doesn't enjoy human music very much. It doesn't help that he's probably been subjected to Marco's taste in music, which I suspect is AWFUL. The one exception may be the Rolling Stones. His brother was a fan and Ax does quote them at one point (he thinks they are a great human philosopher).

nill listens to pop, but really only the cd's dazzler gave her before she left. her taste in pop is expanding a little because of her friends at school, and she even dabbles in alternative rock. otherwise, she likes soothing, classical things and showtunes. she's open to all kinds of music though, she just doesn't know where to start so she usually listens to whatever is suggested. when tagging with her i listen to the subdigitals, lindsey haun, and skye sweetnam among others.

scathach likes older music. she is a huge dean martin fan, and she sang with him twice (and elvis once). she also loves eighties rock, though the nineties were okay. also fast jazz. she's tried listening to pop and rap and all this whippersnapper music, but she thinks it's gross. her tagging tunes are usually jet, fountains of wayne, and dean martin (of course).

molly is definitely a pop kind of girl. she likes to dance, and likes upbeat music that makes her feel good. she probably listens to super inappropriately happy music while doing autopsies in the morgue. i don't know much about british music so if anyone who does has any suggestions, please let me know! molly usually gets awolnation, carrie underwood, and adele.

rikku listens to a little bit of everything, but she loves, loves, loves electronica and techno and dubstep. she probably has it blasting in her workshop all the time. but she also likes some country music, especially ones that are about family because al bhed are close-knit like that. and she thinks southern accents are sexy. her songs are the paradiso girls, rodney atkins, and ke$ha.

gemma is a classical girl all the way. she can't handle all this fast-paced dance music you kids have nowadays, except maybe when angie makes her listen to it (then it's alright). she has a super soft spot for all christmas songs. i listen to rascal flatts, the band perry, and hollywood undead for her.

Alastair listens to electronica. Techno and trance, and the majority of it is from other countries because he can actually understand lyrics.

Sanji doesn't usually listen to music but if he had a preference he'd put on jazz, big band/crooners, and certain select modern pop. The cuter the better. He only owns a Dazzler CD and some Mel Torme collections.

Geddoe does not music. But the only thing that doesn't make him a grouchyface while in a bar drinking is people putting blues on the jukebox.

Kotetsu is a pop and classic rock guy. Like, arena rock. It goes with driving a minivan and being a derp the best, I think. I don't see him at his age being very progressive and hipster.

I don't listen to things while I tag, since I usually do it on the fly between work projects or later in the evening while somebody has something on TV.

Aurican listens to all sorts of music, but he's more inclined to listen to classical music or soundtrack music. Gaelic, Irish, and Welsh songs are his favorites as well.

If he's feeling a little dangerous, he'll listen to Queen sometimes.

Clint canonly has a love of Simon and Garfunkle and Lynyrd Skynyrd, to the point where he wears t-shirts with their names on them. You can add people like Bon Jovi and the Eagles to that, and the Beach Boys if only for the Californian aspect. Of course, we can't forget the amazing Pat Benatar.

Donna's tastes tend to shift with the era. She likes the Bangles and the Monkees, and has had a crush on Paul McCartney since she was about thirteen. Basically she keeps abreast of current trends and likes upbeat stuff, things you can dance to, and love songs.

Damian constantly wears headphones and presumably listens to music in canon, but we're never quite given the details. Vocally, I imagine he has a lot of disdain for modern stuff and listens to classical and instrumental music just to seem posh. His favorite composers are Vivaldi and Rachmaninoff. I imagine that if he did listen to more contemporary music it would be either really angry rap or rock. But the song I most associate with him is Vivaldi's Winter.

Monica has never really mentioned music in her limited canon but my immediate association for her is Nina Simone.

I have personal playlists for all of them with my own specific music biases, but yeah as far as their own tastes go that's it.

Callie listens to jazz and indy music with more of a swing/bluesy flair to it. On the other hand she will always have a soft spot for opera.

Piccolo doesn't really listen to music, but might have an unusual unexplained primal liking to classic rock.

Peter's taste in music runs towards the classic, or if you're feeling ungenerous, the boring. Canonically, he seems to be a fan of Ella Fitzgerald, Queen, Simon & Garfunkel, I think the Beatles -- and no, not all of those references were from back when those musicians were current! I also think he'd be a fan of old school alt rock, particularly bands with a nerdier bent. So REM, TMBG, Barenaked Ladies...

I don't really listen to music when I tag, but when I do it's usually film scores, his fanmix, or electro swing.

Kenzi listens to pretty much anything and everything. Except country and probably classical music. Basically if it's not party worthy she probably doesn't listen to it.

As for me...I've been listening to the Homestuck soundtracks a lot lately. >_> It just seems to feed my creative beast.

Xanatos is a forty year old in the nineties. Which means that he has my mom's taste in music. :c He's shown going to the opera in canon, so I assume he at least tolerates if not enjoys classical music and opera. Aside from that, he likes oldies-pop or easy listening stuff from the the 70s to mid 80s, like the Pointer Sister, Simon & Garfunkel and the Beatles. And Grease. Everybody likes Grease.

Klarion hasn't listened to music in canon, but he probably has no taste in music. My headcanon is that he likes Ke$ha and, in his ignorant little weirdo ways, does not realize how bad it is. Because someone like Ke$ha is the COMPLETE antithesis of Limbo Town in all of its gloomy boring pseudo-Puritan ways.

As for me, I don't really listen to music when I tag. My iPod though is where good music goes to die. I have such eclectic taste from country to soundtracks to current pop stuff to Celtic folk music stuff.
