okay so ladd is the sort of guy that likes to kill random people for fun

and i've been trying for a while to come up with a way for him to either:
1. attempt to kill someone who is notably "powerful" in some way
2. or just find a way for him to capture a group of people and kill them all off in a sort of involuntary fight club situation (which would be more complicated for several reasons) that some heroes would need to crackdown or something idk

basically, i just want ladd to do some killing since it has been a while, sadly

this second idea intrigues me a lot. would it just be random characters he captures or would he target a specific type to have fight?

There was mention of a Hear No Evil/See No Evil plot (I think Alex was talking about it on plurk, apologies if I'm remembering that wrong), in which characters would be temporarily blind or deaf, possibly both. I'm not sure how to really make this work, but I have a magical mook who hasn't done much in a while and would be willing to volunteer him for such shenanigans.

Alternately, I'd be interested in having Stephen bewitch part of the village so that no one could idk... Break laws, or behave immorally in that area. I imagine it would be a "people should be nicer to each other. I'll make this happen with magic" kind of scenario that then goes hideously wrong and people have to somehow undo. Maybe it'd last for a week or so, since that's a pretty specific section of town? That one I'm still trying to figure out. So yes. Thoughts/concerns/further ideas would be totally appreciated.

■ i was thinking that zatanna would hold a ticketed halloween costume party (probably held at her club) sometime before halloween with proceeds to go to some charity or other (since the import arts committee is defunct). when the clock strikes midnight, people will start acting (of varying degrees) like whatever they are dressed as. it would last for 12-24 hours, depending on what the player chooses. i'm lazy, so we can blame it all on the demon dimension.

gemma hasn't had any trouble/opportunity to use her magic in a while. so if anybody wants her for anything magic-related, lemme know! things she has done in the past:

✦ i really like the type of plots that put characters in groups and force them to interact that way. things like the villain roadtrip & etc, i think more of that kind of thing would be great! also maybe some type of geographic isolation, getting people out of the city and to different locales...

Okay so I have had idea since I apped Kenzi in. Although I'm still not sure how the little details would work out.

In her canon there's an episode that revolves around a Djieiene. The Djieiene will bite it's victim and it's toxin will circulate through the victim's body until they either die or the Djieiene is killed. As the wiki page states the victim(s) will start off with having headaches and feel really itchy, maybe even a bit feverish. As things progress they'll begin to hallucinate things and become more aggressive. The victim(s) are also unable to escape their home due to the hallucinations (they might see that their door and windows are bricked over or the door and windows might disappear entirely). Eventually they'll be driven to murder and suicide.

The idea would be for one (or more) to show up in the city. Unless it took up residence in say the MAC, reports of the deaths wouldn't seem like much. Although the victims would all share a connection (such as Victim A worked with Victim B and Victim B had a kid that went to school with Victim C and so on and so forth) and every home would be found with a vast number of spiderwebs within.

The part that becomes tricky is actually killing it. It could be trapped and kept locked away if someone was able to do so. But it won't die, not without finding it's heart. For the purpose of the plot I'm not really sure how that would work out. The 'porter could always do something to it so that it so the Djieiene can't bury it's heart somewhere (or in someone) else. But also make it incredibly hard to kill.

Or it could bury it's heart...


I don't know, what do you guys think?

→ powerswap!! like what happened in the bus plot, but on a more widespread scale. either magical shenanigans or demons from the demon dimension could work as an explanation; i'm thinking a week long affair, with the options to either randomize your partners or plot things out in advance?
→ NOT REALLY A PLOT PER SE but an in-game ic anon meme type deal? like a character makes a post anonymously or otherwise on the network telling everybody else to go anon and namedrop other characters or talk shit or the like. i've seen them done/do well in other games, and considering the City is full of gossipy gabels, i think it could definitely work! obv this would actually require a character to do it rather than DEMONS FROM THE DEMON DIMENSION but with a little influence from his friends(ish) (i glances at hs cast) eridan could definitely be an option.
→ i will still always advocate a bunch of nerds setting up a con in the city and harassing their favorite characters paparazzi style for a week.

- Klarion is actually gonna have a plot in early October. It rhymes with 'lage lot'. So yeah, that will be fun.
- Eventually Curt will turn into a horrible lizard man like in canon but idk when that would be. I haven't even plotted shit out yet. But I want to play crazy connors and scaley connors.

Aside from that, I just love any kind of stupid fun domestic plots like parties and things like that. c: Also cliche Halloween events. I like cliche Halloween events.

- kirsten and i were talking about a big brother esque event where groups of people are shoved in a house together (possibly depowered unless the house is power proof...) and they have to put up with each other for like, a month. PROBABLY OTHER THINGS HAPPEN TO THEM WHILE THEY'RE IN THERE TO DRIVE THEM EVEN CRAZIER and everyone keeps their comms to make distress posts and complain about their housemates. or something. Import Musical

I want Mordin and some associates to put on an Import-run musical production for the lulz. And to show Mordin singing (see lulz). This was done last year for NoHOPE patients with one of Katurian's stories. For this one, I'm thinking an all-Import production of the Iron Man Musical. A lot of entertainment could be derived from who got cast as who.

Like, flashlights would not work beyond a foot, magic would not succeed in lighting it up, etc etc

2) I have Pherson who talks to animals and wants to harass the mayor aka will harass the City if necessary SO IF YOU HAVE PLOT IDEAS INVOLVING ANIMALS, come to me. I will sort that shit out. Theoretically.

although I was thinking of doing a plot in which something happens with colours - like all the colours in the city go wrong for a day or week or so

Assault on not-Precinct Thirteen

I have described on previous memes my deep, irrational love of siege plotlines. One of my all-time favourite siege stories is John Carpenter's Assault on Precinct 13, wherein an isolated police station is surrounded by gang members seeking to murder a witness, and the police officer join forces with the criminals in their cells to stay alive. It's the enemies working together and the tension over whether to just turn over the witness that helps make it compelling.

I would like to see a situation where characters are besieged and ordinarily antagonists have a motivation to work together- or betray each other, depending on their interests. A force might descend on NoHOPE or another place for something inside with some plot device to neutralize ordinary defenses and reinforcements. Being isolated and under attack would create an awkward situation for staff, visitors, and inmates alike. I have a few ideas for doing it, but organization and coordination would probably be very challenging.

All right so, I was kicking this idea around of a MINDLINK plot. Basically everyone who signed up would be subconsciously connected to two other characters (for maximum confusion) and whatever was running along their respective subconscious, it would be known to these two individuals (and vice versa). Anything from "oh man that guy's butt is TIGHT" to vague, resurfacing memories of strangling someone to death, WHATEVER is fair game.

The plot's crux would be reactive --> active. Basically, how does you character deal with this sensitive (and maybe questionable) information? How do they deal with their own secrets being known to two other people? The DEALING with it aspect opens for aggressive or passive opportunities with new CR.

Rambly plot idea from sleep deprived and stressed out AJ so forgive me

Okay I was going to put this up on the OOC eventually, but since this handy meme is here I'll use it.

Here are the rough ideas I have for Boyd's downfall.

The triggering event will be a group of people working secretly or together revealing all the horrible things he's done (I don't have more details because the information gathering is still being played out and whether or not those character cooperate is up to their players). Anyway point is Boyd won't have anything to hide behind anymore. He's outed as a villain. Now what happens next is where I need help. I have no idea how the community of Imports will react to this news, obviously not well, but you know is he going to be arrested, or hounded out of the city I don't know.

If it's severe enough though (arrest, or him being attacked) then Boyd will be running back to Rossum HQ with his mercs to try and end the world. What does that mean? It means using that lovely satellite network of his to upload and then transmit to radios and tvs all over, a signal from the Dollhouse tech that wipes people and then turns them into either crazed murderous bastards, or defenseless Dolls waiting to be exploited by Boyd. Of course that's not going to happen because while he's holed up the info will get out (plenty of people I'm sure would be happy to hack Boyd's mainframe and discover this to warn everyone).

Now for things to be fun he can't just upload that signal and be done with it. Noooooo, he has to wait for the satellites to reposition themselves so he can actually do it. Yes, I know most communication satellites are geosynchronous, but some of these were for spying so they can be moved and hence aren't in the position he needs right now. The idea is to have a 24 style sort of time critical stop the bad guy event. It also provides a great excuse to go thrash a bunch of the stuff Boyd has built up and to lay waste to his mercs.

What I'm thinking is for conclusions is that the signal can be stopped multiple ways, hell maybe all of them at once depending on the heroes. They could go take down the Attic better known as the Rossum Mainframe and delete the imprint the signal will carry there. There is also raiding Rossum HQ and stopping Boyd directly. Finally of course there is hacking the satellites themselves and disabling them. In the end though I do want this to end with Boyd's death and yes I won't be bringing him back from it. It's a final hurrah. A moment of pure comic book villainy he's avoided his whole time here where he'd get to really show off just how damned crazy he really is.

So there's what I'm thinking and it's crap right now, but I hope all of you can help me shape it into something decent so I can give the bastard a proper send off.

OKAY FOUND IT HERE WE GO

So, if you recall, this magnum opus of a movie based on the really shitty sketch of an in-game book series I made up is coming to theaters at some point in November! Since the appeal of the books is based on ~Import fascination~, the premiere and big red carpet event gets held in the City, and maybe as a publicity stunt all Imports are invited to come for free despite the inherent danger involved in inviting Imports anywhere. AND THEN HALFWAY THROUGH THE EVENT A BUNCH OF CRESCENT MOMS MOB THE VENUE, KIDNAP CHANNING TATUM AND WHATEVER OTHER IMPORTS ARE HOT BUT NOT WILLING TO ATTACK A BUNCH OF WOMEN IN THEIR LATE 30S, AND BLOCKADE THE THEATER FROM THE INSIDE. And the rest of the heroes who are so inclined have to save the day! From the City version of Twilight Moms.

I also have a bunch of other stupid goofy plots that could serve as a palate cleanser! And then I guess ones that might actually be halfway serious. Among them are:

-THE BIRTH OF RENAISSANCE MAN DESPITE THE FACT THAT THIS IDEA IS LIKE FIFTY YEARS OLD. HE COULD BE A MEDIEVAL HISTORY PROF WHO GOT CAUGHT IN 2011'S RENN FAIRE PLOT AND DRIVEN MAD BY DEMONS FROM THE DEMON DIMENSION and in order to stop him from brainwashing the rest of the world into thinking it's the 1300s everyone has to infiltrate his stronghold by putting on hose and singing madrigals
-still want a genetically modified unicorn attack tbh
-A STEREOTYPICAL VIRUS PLOT, LIKE OH NO EVERYONE HAS TO STOP THE SPREAD OF THIS NEW HORSESHIT DISEASE THAT ONLY AFFECTS IMPORTS BUT WILL SOON AFFECT THE WORLD and then the symptoms of the virus are something pithy that makes for a big successful plot, i.e. EVERYONE FALLS ASLEEP AND HAS A COMMUNAL DREAM FULL OF HORRORS or EVERYONE ACTS ON THEIR REPRESSED DESIRES AND THEN GETS HYPERVIOLENT.
-on a similar note what if Lachesis got a virus of her own and before purging it from her system had a bunch of quick and whacky Porter hiccups that cause any of the status-effect plots that have been proposed here?
-I WANT TO USE THE VILTRUMITES FOR SOMETHING, whether that's just a straight up superviolent alien invasion plot or something else. i will pb tom selleck so hard, you guys. i will do it.
