zatanna loves mitch. she isn't used to politicians like him, even in the dcu and when they first met he wasn't really a politician in this world. she kind of misses him having more free time, but definitely understand that the city comes first (unless she has decided it doesn't).

she knows he's a little (lot) weird and that he has issues, but she still can't pinpoint them because he guards them so well. up until more recently, she has assumed he's asexual, but now figures he might be gay since he felt the need to date. she's thought about it at great lengths as any super-intrusive best friend would!!

she enjoys harassing him, especially if he reacts very strongly.

she records every speech he does and every appearance he's made. she doesn't let anyone know about it, but she does. that is how much she loves him ;;

she actually likes him just a little more than she gets annoyed with him. mostly because he doesn't target her as frequently as others and she finds it pretty hilarious! especially when it's mitch! and he might remind her a little of a young john constantine and maybe a little of herself u///u

he seems like a pretty okay bro! she was left wanting to talk to him again, which is a good thing! he seemed a little innocent, but she gets the feeling that might be more time/universe displacement and confusion. which is probably for the better :')

zatanna likes kenzi! she reminds her of buffy, who was her assistant and best (and sort of only) ladyfriend for a long while. it hasn't really connected to her that she may be projecting a tiny bit! but anyway! she really likes vibrant, fun people who seem very sure of who they are, even if they don't quite put it out there and flat-out say it.

she's really looking forward to getting to know her better, despite the obvious age-gap. and now that i am slowly integrating back into the game, i am also looking forward to it u///u

she's a little (unsure) about him tbh! but mitch is good people and if mitch (seemingly??) trusts him, he's gotta be pretty cool! he's easier to talk to than mitch is, but that really isn't... hard to be. she wouldn't necessarily call him "laid back" but he feels that way and she enjoys talking to people she can just yap to/at (same difference).

also striking physical similarities to james bond that she is unaware of atm but when she does, she will have to wonder if that's why james was mitch's bodyguard :|a

OKAY GIL... IS... okay, it would be a lie to say that she doesn't enjoy poking him all over to see where it hurts and where it just bothers him enough to bring discomfort. She assumes he has some sort of anxiety disorder (and has thought a little about what kind of trauma he might have faced as a kid, but definitely has not come anywhere near the reality of the situation). She's getting better about realizing when she's crossed a line (thanks, experimentation!!) but can't resist a little prodding because his reactions are just so absurd if not interesting!

Other than the bristling, she believes he definitely has a good heart and is a nice guy. Basically, she likes him and considers him a friend. So she's got his back if anyone else harasses him with cute, fluffy creatures. :'|
