yuma confuses her, honestly. the fact that he often doesn't understand her leading to her not understanding him probably compounds that. for a long time, she mostly thought of him as feferi's and astral's friend, but after hearing about how rough a time he was having after feferi was ported out she extended a bit more sympathy his way. the fact that she suspected her hopelessness over feferi's situation when she'd just lost terezi had contributed to it only increased that.

she's not happy about having been stuck in space, but his sincere reaction to that makes it hard for her to really hold it against him. shit's complicated.
