[ sooo, hubby. your wife has brought home wine today, because they both often need a glass. from over his shoulder, she drops the fresh bottle next to his open laptop. she's already noticed the empty post and blinking cursor. it's about as sentimental as irene really gets. she's more of the practical type. ]

Trouble with the blog today?

[ while he'd never been in a rush to settle down, john did have a good idea about the kind of woman he wanted to settle down with. it was funny, the curve balls life threw, but their marriage certainly wasn't boring. he had plenty to write about, even if he was having trouble twisting the words into doing his bidding. ]

Mmm? Oh, yeah. I can't decide which word I should use. [ he clears his throat and tilts his head at irene. ] What's the occasion?

or irene

[ if irene has learned anything, life can take drastic turns and circumstances can change; one has to adjust. things just worked out this way. settling down certainly hasn't stripped life of its excitements, she's found.

she glances at his screen once more. ]

Hm. Loquacious? I love that word, loquacious. [ rolls off the tongue nicely (hers at least). and a bit more eloquent than than calling someone big-mouthed. ] And you're a cleverer boy than you let on. You'll figure it out.

[ she quickly leaves a kiss against his cheek and collapses in the armchair behind him. ]

Loquacious. [ john echoes. he presses his lips together when hers brush against his cheek. yes, he definitely likes the sound of that and does a quick internet search for the definition, ignoring the gentle smouldering of his ears. ] Yeah, that's perfect. The loquacious Jamie Tansey, conversation politician. I won't get into trouble for that.

[ he quickly updates his blog with this and clicks save, then turns in his chair to face her. the next thing to come out of his mouth is self-deprecating remark. ] I'm pretty great, but I might still need a few hints.
