[ sometimes, she prefers it-- that method of sharing information between them. in all honesty, speaking is only a necessity for communicating with humans because the greater majority of them have no other way to communicate. for her, it's almost more natural for them to be linked.

it does occasionally make things difficult when she's trying to get his attention though. the man needs to eat and sleep now and then. again, a bit pointedly: ]

[ there's a moment of stubbornness, where she lingers at a distance with something critical in her expression-- but it passes, and she approaches, easily falling into a familiar rhythm of work. it's unnecessary to speak, so she doesn't for a while, communicating in strings of mental binary when she needs to.

the silence is comfortable to her. she's almost reluctant to speak out loud and break it. ]

[ it's easy to miss something being communicated when he's focused on another medium entirely; it takes him a second before he realizes that she's spoken and what she's spoken. verbal communication is really nothing like its mechanical counterpart.
