Who are your character's love interests? Do they have one true love in their canon? A series of failed relationships and angry exes? Have they sworn off love entirely? Do they have the hots for someone in the City?

Yeah, so basically feel free to tl;dr on the subject on canon and City love interests! If I get bored later, I might even make a chart showing about it!

Mitchell (or one of the rare, rare times I will use a shippy icon) has essentially sworn off love entirely!! He does actually have some failed relationships, most notably a one-off date with reporter Suzanne Padilla, who figures out the reason that they went on a date, and calls him out on her being his beard. (He doesn't deny it, either, and in fact confirms it.) So uh, yeah, they hang out a time or two after that, but there's an awkward tension left afterward due to Mitchell never telling her the truth about his sexuality, or his interests entirely, and then Suzanne does all this wild stuff and it ends awfully, but you know.

Oh yea, and there was the Catwoman-esque villain Trouble who was in love with Mitchell from his time as a superhero, and she had to threaten to kill herself before Mitchell would kiss her. No lie. Also he punched her, and broke his hand in the process.

Which, ah, brings me to the other part of this. Mitchell does have a love interest throughout most of Ex Machina, but you never really realize it until the end when there's a heartfelt confession that ends in, well, this is Mitchell, so it ends in misery. Essentially, you should never add "but" to "I love you too", is the thing to learn from this. Really, Mitchell should have known better, or something, but he didn't, so he had to deal with that mess, and so he doesn't have any friendships anymore and it's sad.

OH YEAH AND IN THE CITY? Uh, there was that time Electro kissed him which was weird, and he dated "Janet Black" aka Catwoman, but that's been it. He doesn't pursue relationships here any more than he did back home.

Roy is totes a playa and a ladies man. He's had a bunch of casual hook ups in canon, sometimes with nameless ladies, sometimes with people like Bertinelli!Huntress and Grace Choi. But he's also had some more serious relationships, too. Donna of course jumps to mind, as she was his first love. Teen romances being what they are, it didn't last, though they did attempt to rekindle things for awhile before she died. The other major love of his life is Cheshire, the mother of his daughter. Unfortunately she's also a sociopathic assassin, and love affairs between heroes and villains just never seem to work out. Roy was absolutely in love with her though, and there is still some unresolved feelings in that area of his life.

In the City... he doesn't have any real romantic things going on. He and Jessica Jones went out, but that was a friendly type thing mostly. He'd totally tap that though. Just saying.

Tony has had several notable relationships, some of which are still immortalized on this website, and these are the serious ones. It is missing the more recent induction of Maya Hansen and the woman from Iron Man Legacy that I can't remember her name. The most serious of all of them was Rumiko Fujikawa, who was killed by someone wearing his armor (a reoccurring theme) and there are a slew of failed love interests that either end up failed by Tony's own compulsions or by him putting an end to them, or being manipulated, etc, etc. They go to great lengths to ensure he's single, essentially. He also dated Jan Van Dyne for a while, until she found out that Tony Stark and Iron Man were the same person, but for a while, it was good. With...most of his relationships it starts out good.

Anyway, in the City he's slept with Callie, Wanda, Harley, She-Hulk, Karla, uhhh, and probably others that I don't remember.

Ozzie is also a notorious ladies man. (this is a thing of mine, I'll admit) So anyway, he's had several relationships, most of them being one night stands, although there have been a few serious relationships, but when Ozzie falls for someone, uhhh, he gets possessive and weird. There was this time a cook laughed while he was on a date with someone, and uh, well, he wasn't laughing at him, but Ozzie thought he was, and literally destroyed the guy's life to the point of him committing suicide.

Seriously, don't fuck with Ozzie, bros.

BUT YEAH JUST LOTS AND LOTS OF ONE NIGHT STANDS. Also he hasn't slept with any PCs in the City, but he's had plenty of NPC loving, mostly women with a thing for imports.

The Shade is immortal, and has had a lot of lovers. He's something of a Rake, and totally doesn't care who knows it. However, he has had serious relationships, one of which who he was totally smitten by, and her name was Mauguerite, but then he found out her last name was a lie, and her real last name was Ludlow, which meant she was from a clan of people whose sole purpose was to kill the fucking Shade.

She poisoned him, and he killed her, and it was ridiculously sad!! Really, though, the Shade isn't adverse to love, which is unusual for an immortal, but he totally hangs around with humans and loves them, and then James Robinson did this weird thing with Hope that we're not talking about because the Shade's from before that.

All y'all need to know is. Immortal Ladies Man. Rife with Experience.

In the City, he's been flirting quite a bit, but hasn't gotten any, because they're all taken ladies :(

Dracula is pretty bad at relationships, but so far he's been married twice and had one confirmed long term boyfriend. His first marriage was a wreck because his agent basically forced him into it, and it ended with what was implied to be a very nasty divorce after his wife caught him cheating on her. His second marriage was also arranged by his agent, but this time his wife was a friend of his and also a lesbian so she didn't really care that he slept around.

And then there's his unnamed long term boyfriend! He was a director and he and Dracula did things like go clubbing and on picnics (which tells a lot because those aren't things that Dracula particularly enjoys doing). But then the director got old and they broke up, but Dracula still visited him at the rest home.

In game, he hasn't done much about romance because he no longer has someone to clean up the mess if something goes wrong. He still flirts with basically every woman he meets, but it's really more out of habit than anything else.
