NGL, I was nodding along and facepalming as I read your take on it, because Peter... is pretty much in the same place as Tony, from the other side? He misses him, but none of his issues with their relationship are even close to resolved, so he's entirely ambivalent about rekindling any kind of... anything.

Granted, this may change in the near-ish future, given that Spider-Man and Norman Osborn's nemesishood is heating up again, and Peter, if pressed, might find he hates the idea of getting new people involved slightly less than he does Tony knowing everything about it already.
