what does natasha eat for breakfast?

Most days just coffee. She canonically has a place she likes to go to and people watch. Some days she might have a piece of toast or something, but nothing elaborate; she's not really a morning person.

How do Natasha and Jessica view, or how have they coped with, their "new lives" in the City, respectively? Generally or specifically.

I think for Natasha she takes it in a degree of stride— she's always cutting herself off, and starting over, moving in a sense from life to life and learning to internalize and hide the things that matter to her. As a result, she's probably a bit… I don't want to say complacent, but in some sense this is routine for her. And she's practical enough to see being stuck here as at least a temporary respite from the stuff that hunts her back in 616. For a while, she tried to quit everything and have a normal life because that's always been a ghost for her, but of course that doesn't satisfy her at all and so she joined the Avengers / sets up elaborate secret identities / etc / anyway.

Jessica doesn't really cope, she's at a time in her life when she's not coping and is angry and bitter at everything. The fact that she's in and out so often hasn't really helped this, because any forward progress she makes at getting on with her life is inevitably wiped out— she needs closure, but she's not going to seek it out. Jessica sometimes blames her mom for not noticing that she's gone, and gets angry about that specifically, even if it doesn't make sense.
