[Laura is currently examining the door to determine how difficult it would be to break it. But it seems rather pointless to ruin a door just to avoid something this silly. So she turns and just looks at Shinji.]

[Shinji swallows hard, looking the girl over. Everything about her screams "intimidating", just because he's used to that kind of woman.]

Y-yeah. So...

[girlverine]

If we do this, they will allow us out.

[She glances at the door.]

Or I can remove the door.

[It's hard to tell if she actually cares about the choices.]

You can do that?

[Because that does sound tempting.]

But...it's cheating, right? What if they just put us back in?

[She casually pops one of her claws out.]

[The claw makes him jump back a little in surprise.]

[She hadn't actually meant to startle him, so the claw slips away as she turns her attention to the door for a moment. Then back to him.]

[The lack of claw puts Shinji more at ease. He nods and steps forward, officially compromising his comfort zone more than he's used to.]

[She seems to still be waiting for him to finish the (admittedly small) approach between them, but after a moment she just looks faintly frustrated and reaches out to grab him by the shirt.]

We must do this to leave.

[Shinji doesn't manage a noise of protest before it begins, and his eyes widen at the contact. He clearly has no idea what to do, just staying like this, still tense and panicked.]

[Laura has (unfortunately) had practice with kissing, so she pushes him back after a moment.]

What is wrong?

N-nothing! [It's a terrible lie, especially from how he's stammering and the sheer redness in his cheeks.] I just-I'm not used to-especially with strangers! [He's not doing a good job of explaining this.]

[Unfortunately she is a human lie detector, so her eyes narrow faintly.]
