[Shinji leans back against the wall, which is kind of close to sitting.]

Okay, then what?

[ she sort of eyes him a minute, glancing him up and down once before finally, she just shrugs-- and without warning, leans over to kiss him. ]

[He thinks about pulling back - but where would he pull to? - but if it rerally was the only way out...

Well, then he didn't have much of a choice.

He closes his eyes tight, letting her lips make contact with his.

He tries to ignore how hot his face is right now.]

[ she's surprisingly gentle about it with him, just putting her hands on his face and making him tilt his head a little, so their mouths fit better. ]

[This is...nice, and he's even relaxing slightly. His shoulders are no longer so tense, and he's even slowly trying to put his hands on her sides.

[ she lets him pull away easily, something vaguely amused in the shape of her eyes when she responds: ]

[He glances over to the right, just to avoid eye contact and trying to regain his composure. He's not.]

[ she makes this entertained noise that's almost a laugh. ]

[He tries to grasp something intelligent to say that will make him feel less awkward, and failing that he just blurts out what comes to mind.]

[ she easily pushes him up against the nearest wall, boxing him in by putting one hand flat against the wall behind him. she leans close, but doesn't quite kiss him, just tilting her head and quirking a vague smile that's somewhere between taunting and amused. ]

[Something about being pushed back like this suddenly makes the situation feel a lot more real to Shinji, and he swallows hard again, trying to resist the urge to back down. She always talks about how he needs a spine, right?]
