boring answer alert nothing has really changed! Ned remains Jack's odd civilian bro that he can depend on both professionally and emotionally and it remains a weird situation for him because most of Jack's friends can kill people with their bare hands and Ned makes pie. Jack's getting more and more used to Ned's total dependability and willingness to help, which means he's also getting more all right with the idea of getting Ned hurt in his missions if it ever seems necessary.
