Yeah, that's why I like the fact we have a warnings section on the logs - it lets you skip things if you're not interested. Hopefully everyone here is good enough to just be boring XD

I don't mind smut in RP as long as it's labeled and all of that. I have done like next to no smut in C&C though. My characters. They fail at this smut logging. The Door/Phoenix log is totally excluded because I actually thought that was going to be them talking. XD

AKSJDNKASLDN i can't reply to this poll hahahah because the option in my head is not there.

Because like, okay, I play in amatomnes. I'm not antismut (although I don't write it. Don't. Ask. Why I'm in that game.) But it depends on the game, like C&C has so little (almost NO) smut that it started taking on a really gen tone for me, and that sort of self-perpetuates and now I'd be really uncomfortable if smut started turning up here? Like it would violate the tone somehow? Whereas if it had been there from the beginning I wouldn't have cared.

Hmm, well. I'm not exactly anti-smut (though, like most everyone, there are kinks that really squick me), but I generally don't write it and don't have a particular interest in RPing it. And even if I did, I think being in a comm with minors would totally kill that.

Ummm, hmm. I don't make a running habit of reading it, but I'll skim it if it's written well and it's not something I'm squicked out by.

I don't think I'm nearly talented enough to write it myself, though--like I said before, I can barely even get to 'fade to black' the few times I've tried--and even if I did I'd probably have it friends-locked in my character's personal LJ instead of on the main comm.

Still, I have no problem with it if it's not like. Mind-scarring. Or spammy.

I voted, because I have nothing wrong with porn in an RP--I just think it comes second to plot and character development etc. I'm not about to have Gokudera jump in bed with someone he barely knows just for the chance to RP smut. I like to think most good, talented RPers (ie the people in this comm) feel the same.

But hey, I got nothing wrong with a good placed porn log or a little PWP to lighten the tension. Plus, I write it, so saying anything different would kinda be hypocritical, yanno.

I can't write smut. Like, at all. I've had no practice and I'm too nervous to start now. Also, if a character is under like, 16 I'm really iffy about it, probably just because I am a huge prude and fffffffffffff.

Basically, everyone else can have fun with is, I won't be joining in for a really. Really long time. :S

lmsafdjkhv I hadn't until, like, a couple years ago I think it is now, I picked up a character who was. more successful at flirting than I expected. And then I was like "........... shit I have to write smut now."

And then basically I giggled at everything I was writing and took weeks to reply and slooowly got better and now it is fun (and I still burst into giggles sometimes because ffffhaha sex is ridiculous to describe) but not the most important part of an RP or anything.

I think my point was, you shouldn't feel pressured or left out or whatever if you don't want to write it, and you certainly shouldn't write it if it makes you uncomfortable because of age or whatever, but don't be afraid of it either - the majority of people don't start out magically awesome at smut, it takes practise like every other type of writing, and other players should be totally understanding about it (and if they're not, then they suck).

I sincerely dislike rape in RP, it is rarely if ever played well and just causes too much trauma and drama for everyone involved :|

I like stuff to be played in private journals off-comm especially if. stuff happens alot (though orz then character development happens *STARES AT CERTAIN CHARACTER*) but, I actually have a question for everyone ELSE about that:

If smut logs have important character development in them, would you want them to be linked into the log comm? Or would you rather they be kept completely out whatsoever?
Sometimes I feel like people are like 'what? when did this happen' as far as characters acting weird around each other, but I don't like linking all that smut crap all over the place.

Thoughts?
