Hi guys, I figure there's people in this community who know about cosplay, right? right?

Anyway, I am a cosplay novice, still trying to feel my way through the complex world of wig hair fibers and stuff, and am looking for someone with more experience than I. I have found a wig that looks like it'd work well for a costume I am trying to start assembling. It is, according to the seller, made of [Premium quality Japanese synthetic fiber (Heat Resistant)] hair. What I'm wondering is if this is something a decent wig would be made of, or if I shouldn't waste my money on it. If not, could someone give me some pointers for what I SHOULD be getting wigs made out of?

Also does anyone know where I could buy some loose hair? I'd need to modify for pigtails, which means adding more so that the wig would have a nice part, but I don't know where to shop.
