TWO THINGS!
1) Who does Del owe logs to for post-crazy fun times? I should have done this so much sooner, but school's wrapping up and it's turning my brain into a mush and not the somewhat tasty kind with raisins.
2) Waddya guys know about romance comics?

2) What?

2) School. ; ; I'm writing a paper about the evolution of romance comics and women in the comics industry... which will probably just turn into a paper about women in the comics industry because THAT's always a fun topic...(or: Caitlin just likes having an excuse to dig up terrible terrible 70s comics.)

2) That's a cool paper topic, though.

2) It is, really. Even if it can turn into a wank fest sometimes, I dunno why I love stuff like that.

II. Like, the sort of stuff Patsy was in before they made her Hellcat?

2. God yes.

and
I don't plan logs well, chronologically speaking.
II. Okay, what I know of Patsy Walker is brief, but I always found her interesting. Her title--Patsy and Hedy--was something akin to Archie; very teen-girl-ladeda with romantic rivalries, etc. Her boyfriend was Buzz.
SOME POINT IN TIME Patsy becomes a superhero and goes a little crazy and Buzz is a C-rate villain of her rogues gallery. Frankly, I am fascinated by that evolution, but I don't know much on it. However, it's a start?

2. It is. We learned a bit about her in class actually and yeah it really is weirdly fascinating how she went from mild mannered teenager to HOLYSHITSUPERHERO! :lb I'm starting to wonder if there are any more titles that are like that...

II. None come to mind immediately, but the various facets of Mary Jane might be interesting as well? Especially with the Jackpot thing.

And, if you need like a weird tangential perspective, there's the alternate earths that have gender swapped. Earth-11 for example; Wonder Man is horrendously crude. What does that say about how the male writers think females think of men?

Patsy is the Initiave team for Alaska. That by itself should make you want to buy it.
It also has weird polar bear things with antlers. And avalanches of bunnies.

that is, if I can dig up all that crap

2) Uh..... what do you mean by "romance comic"? Like, shoujo manga?
no subject
2) Sort of? That would be part of it... I dunno, the more I talk about it the more I think this is going to be about women's involvement in comic as both characters and contributors (decisive means what again? *facepalm*), so that would definitely play a role since shoujo is mostly a female dominated genre.
no subject
2) Huh. I'll admit that I've got very little experience, if any at all, but yeah, it does sound like shoujo'd be pretty relevant. I mean, there are even jousei manga about the romantic exploits of shoujo manga artists XD;
